I`m sure you can get them at a shop in Southport,it`s an old toffee shop in the arcade off Lord Street,they sell lots of the sweets you remember as a kid.

One for the fossils. Does anyone remember Spanish Gold (I think that's the name)? A gloriously delicious, non PC confection presented as chewing tobacco. Come to think of it, where have the toffee cigarettes gone? Far safer than the real thing IMO.

I think he means the biscuits. They used to be rectangular, double decked and shiny, with some kind of glaze on them, with a lemon 'custard cream' type lemon flavoured filling.

Next...........the bourbon cream.

I nearly broke my neck chewing on one of those buggers when I was at school. Heard a crack in my neck and could only look left for about 4 days!!

Another great one was Texan Bars (with the cowboy advert - A mans gotta chew what a mans gotta chew)!!!
