Tough to call, but I'll go for a low-scoring Wigan win. If it ends up being a shootout I wouldn't fancy our chances.

I'm bricking it and can only see a Wigan win. I am a pessimist though with all our years of hurt!

I have been changing my mind all week but as the week goes on the more I have the nagging feeling that it will be Wigan in a low scoring game, something like 16-10.

Well if common sense serves then we should win this one, looking at the statistics of the two super league games against Warrington we have played them twice with depleted teams both games without Sean O 'Loughlin and drew one and only just lost the other with an even more depleted team, if Sean Plays we will have a full strength team turning out against them for the first time in ages and i genuinley believe that we want this more than them, ok we have a few players we need to keep quiet, obviously Briers needs to have pressure put on him all game never let him dictate the kicking and he will become non-existent because he just hasnt got the speed anymore, and for me the two wingers are world class and we need to shut up shop outwide do this and we have more than enough up the middle im going for 24-16 to Wigan an dif Sean doesnt play i still think we can pull it off with a 17-16 thriller.

I completely understand your point of us beating Wigan earlier this season when you had some senior players out. But the question I ask is this, would your 'senior' players have played to the same high level and intensity as your youngsters? From what I can remember your younger guys played out of their skins that night and really made us work for the win....I'm not sure you would have seen that from a fully fit team.

Additionally, Wigan lost something like 7 of their last 9 league games didn't they? I'm sure all those weren't down to injuries.

Could be wrong though.

I just hope this game is a classic, contended by two excellent sides, with Wire finishing on top

Attendance from wire fans to be awful. Just looked at the RFL site and most of their top tier in the west is green availability (as opposed to amber limited availability or red unavailable).

Looks like (some?) unsold tickets have been returned from the clubs to the RFL. You can't buy online from Wigan any more.

Lowest crowd for 10 years, can't imagine many neutrals wanting to watch Wigan do the double !!!

In the past when Wigan and Warrington have met in the cup semi-finals one team has just come out and bossed it and won convincingly. I have a feeling that wont happen and this game will follow the cagey pattern the playoffs have generally had so far.

It's tight so I'm going to be a pessimist here and say Warrington to win 19-12. Either I'm right, or I'm happy to be wrong.
