The only person responsible for Martin Gleeson failing a drug test is the player himself as no one forced him to do it.As for the other two ,if they were involved with the supply or with a cover up then they are equally guilty and deserve everything that they get.

Adam Pearson really doesn't like Kath Hetherington.

It seems not, in this instance, the club conditioner ok'ed it. Why should Gleeson then question it? We're not talking obviously prohibited substances here.

Nothing to do with Cunningham - far from it.

I cannot understand how a former director of a Championship club can get banned from the sport for 'financial infringments' and in another breath a former CEO of another club only gets 2 years for covering up a doping offence. I fail to see where breaking financial rules is 4 times more punishable that is all.

How much talent has gone to waste here? What a class centre he was.

It was the Cunningham affair that kicked off the RFL standing on drugs use.

Cunningham went through the courts and the ruling was that there were mitigating circumstances in the case . The problem was that the RFL did not disclose the players name, this was jumped on by the sports minister via the anti drugs agency. This lack of transparency by the RFL kicked off the Zero Tolerance of drugs in sport we have today.
If we apply the same ruling we have today to the Cunningham situation 8 years ago, then Cunningham would be banned, a RFL supplied conditioner would be banned and a RFL Executive would be banned.
