I thought Ainscough performed pretty well once he was switched from centre to wing - i will never forget his hit on Gleeson and the try he scored in the same game that earned him the MOTM - what a try that was!

Was his injury record that bad? - i can only really recall the arm incident which ended is career with Wigan. |

Tatupu was no winger, he was a prop forward. I would swap Higham with Mark Reber, maybe find room for Stuart Lester. They were truly shocking!

I started work in 1955 in a steel fab shop and when people asked me what I liked all I could say was Wigan and Billy Boston.
I was so like a broken record I was soon called Billy (and answered to it) even though this wasnt my name,this must have gone on for at least twenty years.
Even after some of my old workmates had retired when I met them round town they still called me Billy.
The best ever,believe me. |
