It's our backs I am worried about.'"
Our pack was well beaten tonight and with the backs, no-one knows which position to play.
Sam is stuck at FB, but for me should be at SH.
O'Loughlin wasn't sure whether he is to play SR or stand-off and the new lad Finch hasn't had any game time for a match like this. I believe Roberts was playing tonight though he never knows from one week to the next if he is FB or on the wing..
Result = what we got, which was nothing.

Ref made a few awful calls and I still think the first "no try" should have gone to the video ref but I still think Wire would have been too good for us on the night.
Well played Warrington.
As a side note, Finch showed a few glimpses of what he can offer us but was, understandably, very rusty.'"
Yeah Finch looked quite good for the amount of time out and obviously links with Hoffman very well.
We have a lot to come yet, and will only get better but tonights showing was very disappointing.

| Lets not have any knee jerk reactions after one loss. We weren't at the races tonight due to a number of factors, the main one being we just didn't execute as well as Warrington. One yard back and Tuson is through, instead he knocks on. Lost count of the number of times we 'nearly' had the line broken but due to a misplaced pass it wasn't to be.
Finch didn't do himself justice tonight and you have to question his inclusion. I don't think it would have been a bad idea to have Locky at 6 against a team like Wire, extra forward on the field and muscle to try and met them head on wouldn't have been too negative in my opinion. The pass at the end for the Myler try was just panic to try and chance the arm a bit. Which brings me on to my next point...halfbacks.
Leuluai isn't cutting it consistently this season and I wonder how much it's down to him possibly training as a hooker in pre-season? Never really rated him as a 7 due to his poor kicking and lack of organisational skills. I lost count today of the number of combinations we had at 6 and 7, which is doing us no good in the long run. The trial with Sam needs to end and get him back at 6, it's painful watching our best player get smashed on every kick return. Finch as I said was poor and has some excuse, way off his best.
Forwards were lacking size and we were dominated by a bigger pack but we were never in a position to challenge. I'm concerned about the backs as most people are. The current three-quarters won't get us back to the top. Gleeson is badly missed and I hope his situation is sorted soon as we need him or another from outside to come in and boost our firepower.
Time to concentrate on Leeds, we can't win them all.

| We were ragged and they were razor sharp. They played it like a final and rarely put a foot wrong but we dropped everything.
Our forwards were just not good enough, it was exactly the same vs Hull at home until after the red. If we had shown the intensity in the tackle/carry that we did last week at Huddersfield it would of been a lot different and much harder for them but we didnt.
Wire just powered down the middle into good position while we just limped forward.
We lost to Wire at home last and still powered on through the season so maybe it an omen?
If its not a Wigan vs Wire GF this season i will be shocked.

haha, you boys need not panic, we played great tonight, and you seemed a little off the boil. Also, you can play like that against a few of the teams in SL and still get the points. I have no doubt that IF we make it to OT, that you will be our opponents, good luck for the rest of the season, until you come to the HJ ofcourse.

| We are definitely starting to miss Richards and Gleeson.
Not too impressed with some of the petulance tonight - Sam trying to kick the ball away after a mistake could have been a nasty injury to someone.
But not worth dwelling on too much, we'll be back.
Finch linked up well with Hoffman a couple of times - against weaker defences he would have been in a couple of times

| Terry Albert strikes again. We played poorly, Warrington played well, Albert helped flatter the scoreline. The man missed so much it's beyond belief.

| I thought we looked totally uninterested in attack today & warringtons defence was as best as it can be, only gonna end up with one result there!

| The lack of organisation was shocking, we missed Deacon big time. But the most disappointing part was that no one looked like they were up for it. Wire were good, we were terrible

| No argument with the result. Wire where the better team in every department. I feel sorry for charnley as his confidence will no doubt be shot after that. Warrington used the right tactics and played it all down his side and he couldn't handle it. Finch showed good glimpses but clearly wasn't ready for such a big game, but what other option did we have?.... We looked like we had no options tonight at times and didn't know what to do, far to much one out rugby against a great pack. We where always up against it with the squad we had and the result was to be expected. Give time for us to get a full squad back and hopefully for players like lima and finch to get up to speed and we will be back where we should be.
Alibert was a joke to rugby league, its shocking how little control he has over a game and how many errors he seems to make, However as other people have stated, we would have lost regardless of who reffed. But it still can't have looked good for the sport on tv.

| Very flat performance, no zip or enthusiasm about it. The defensive line hung back giving them easy yards all night, maybe a hangover from last week's big effort? Clueless in attack, no dummy runners, no support for offloads and the attacking kicks were garbage. The only positive is that was nothing like the Wigan performance we normally get.
Credit to the Wolfs though, a professional performance and deserved win.

| I'm not sure there are any redeeming features from that performance. Undoubtedly the worst of the Maguire reign. Everything just seemed to be off. The best defence in SL wouldn't expect to be conceding tries like the first two. I'm going to watch the game back now just to believe how many missed tackles, poor passes, knock ons and dropped balls I saw tonight.
Alibert is truly awful, neigh, useless. Quite how he gets to referee any game let alone ones of the stature of a world club challenge or Wigan V. Warrington. Don't get me wrong I Don't think the result in either match would have been different. The drop out that needed Bentham to over rule him and the use of the screen for wires obvious no try proves his incompetence.
Finally, Warrington were very good and out played us in every department. I didn't think there was anything to split us last year but at the moment they've got the edge.

It would have been a MUCH closer game. The Hoffman try, the Hoffman strip, the professional foul on Leuluai (I think), and on Goulding. The list goes on. He's a clown. Like the Dragons, Warrington took full advantage of it.

| Forgot to say in my Albert rant surely his appointment and continued use despite such poor performances confirms his existence is just tokenism to have a French ref in SL.
