- how the teams have performed against handicap week on week, weighted to recent 6 weeks.
- injuries and team news
- liabilities on already placed bets for grand final winners ( such as yours truly

)

so looking at 2010, Wigan have won more games, much better points difference, have no serious injury worries, and just about anyone who placed a bet on this game will have backed Wigan, we looked unstoppable at Leeds really really unstoppable, and the home defeat will have been allocated to ref error / cheating, we did actually deserve to win that game.

So for me I would have it as 6 points start for the scummers.

If you turn it round (i.e. Saints win in 2010) it would be 2 wins in 5 years for Saints v no wins in 12 years for Wigan (99,00,01,02,03,04,05,06,07,08,09,10).
