"Why, oh why people bring dogs to Rugby League games I'll never know".: |
|
| Quote: wigan_rlfc "Can we also have a good, traditional brawl? Not been a good derby day brawl for about 5 years.'"
Agree with the sentiment but I'd say that's the last thing we'd want because that would mean we've finally got p*ssed off with their constant niggle, sly digs, face wipes, holding down/back etc etc to a point where a brawl breaks out. As long as we don't spend our time trying to over protect the likes of Sam from the inevitable attention Wilkin, KFC, Pryce & co will be dishing out then we'll go ok.

Still doesn't make Long in his pomp as good as Andrew Johns in his pomp, which is what the original poster implied.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

I bet you'd have him on your team tomorrow?

| Quote: Offside Monkey "Of course we'd take him over Bryn, but the general consensus on our board is that Bryn isn't good enough to be one of our first 4 props, but is good to have around to cover injuries (I actually like him in the back row, where he played a couple of times when he first arrived).
But we do all love Bryn, though. Especially Ski, in fact that gets a bit creepy sometimes.'"
Don't let Ski see that
Now I'd possibly have him, but he is 30, has been going downhill for a few years and is not likely to hit even close to his glorious past again, at least Bryn at 23 is still pretty young so has time to improve and he has hardly let us down for the buttons he has cost us.
As Donna says it matters not one jot who did what and how good Edwards, Long or anyone was its how good the 34 players play for 80mins tomorrow.

| Quote: thepriestman85 "Lol
Cunningham as well respected as Faz only in Saint Helens.
Please don’t tarnish a true RL legends rep like Farrell by grouping him with that cheating KFC.
Any one that gets extra money from GB to keep him in RL and then walks out on his country isn’t a legend.
Any one that fails a drug test doesn’t deserve to be grouped in the same breath as legends like Farrell.
Farrell is twice the man, player and captain KFC could ever dream of.
And before you start I do respect Saints players like Graham, Gidley and Wellens and past players like Sculthorpe.'"
Is this the same Farrell that took the Golden union cheque and ran from the sport completely leaving Wigan short & not making the play offs the following year??
I won't deny the drug test Cunningham failed was a black spot (though he was completely exonerated), but 450+ games in the sport and a high playing standard throughout is an outstanding contribution to any sport.
Both players are legends to their respective teams lets be honest outside of their own fans they are not particularly "liked" by many, the same way Senior isn't exactly loved by many outside of Leeds, or Edwards whose contribution was possibly greater than all 3 together, he’s not exactly fondly thought of outside Wigan, personally I wouldn’t want them any other way.
Please don't get me wrong I personally have great respect for Farrell (my step dad was on the board of Orrell St James when Faz was gifted to Wigan for buttons so I do know a bit about him) he was an outsanding player - the Leeds performance in 2004 when he had no face couldn't have defined his attitude any better

Give over. KC is a professional. What happened between him and sam is forgotten. But if subway stu wants a a bit of biff, Eastmond will be more than happy to oblige. Subway might have half a chance

It may be forgotton but it could kick off again because Tomkins is rather cheeky.
Love the last bit
