It would be a huge blow for Rugby League losing Eastmond. He's got alot of work to do but he's a electric talent that the sport needs to keep hold of.

Hope Saints get him signed to a long term deal.

Until the salary cap offers an exception/discount for home grown players in first team squads, this will continue to happen.

RL cant afford to lose players like Eastmond.

You could argue it's better to lose a player than a club.

But aslong as teams that average less then 5,000 attendances are happy why should we bother about losing up and coming superstars



The game is run by the teams that bring the least to the party............it's incredible.

To be fair though, it wasn't just idiots from the smaller clubs. We've had lots of Saints trolls on here in the past - not so many now that they're struggling of course - who berated us for voicing opinions that the SC should be adjusted to allow us to pay young starlets a lot more. Sam Obst.. whats everyones opinions on him? Not for one second am i linking him with Wigan in any way, but he always impresses me when I see him play, and ive just caught up with the highlights from the weekend on sky anytime and it looks like he played well again.

Just re-signed with Wakefield for a further 2 years, in my opinion the most underrated player in SL.
