This game could have sold 20k easy without marketing....and 25k with a bit of effort, yet what do the short minded rugby league heirachy do.....send it to widnes....capacity circa 13.5k!
Rugby league will never reach the level it deserves in the sporting world as long as it is run by idiots at red hall with no foresight. Say what you want about lindsay....at least he sorted the game out properly!!! Union take their semis to massive stadiums like cardiff.....we take them to tiny backwater 2nd tier rugby grounds like widnes
Agreed. Total madness and means we will all have to stand in some mammoth queue for half a day.

[iPlay a double header at a ground that holds around 40k, charge a flat rate of £15 a ticket with £5 for concessions and you'd get 30k plus on imo.[/i
If they built on that every year it would become an event in itself and fans would look forward to their sides getting a crack at a semi final almost as much as a final.'"
Corking idea.
Will never catch on with the powers that be still in the 19th century

I completely agree with that idea.

| They want it to look full on tv - then why the fook do we bother with millenium magic? Its a joke , there is no oint in advertising this game , the season ticket holders will get all the tickets (nothing wrong with us gettin priority) but what about the neutrals and gloryhunters? I think theyve missed a trick as usual

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| When we play saints at home we get around 20,000 Wigan fans there maybe just under, but then surely this is the amount of people we should be marketing the game to, if they are willing to go to a big game like a derby then surely they wouldnt mind going to a semi final. Warrington have around 11,000 home fans when they play saints at home so it should be the same for them. Therefore if its a sellout of around 13,000 for this game they are missing out on selling around 18,000 other tickets. There are so many reasons why we should and COULD be aiming alot higher.

I hope it rains buckets when you lot arrive. You moaned last time (You know, when the stobart stadium bailed you out) and unlike certain people attached to your club you didn't sell out then either.

You need to face up to the fact that at the JJB you pay well below market value. You have the cheapest matchday tickets around, so when you go to a game elsewhere you will pay more.

Surely playing it at the Galpharm wouldn't be too much faff for either set of supporters? If we can potentially attract 31,000 fans then the Galpharm would still be filled easily.
I think we have to rule out football stadiums as their respective seasons start around that weekend and Mark Lawrenson would have a fit if rugby was played on them the week before the Premiership starts

Can you imagine if you told football, Rah Rah or cricket fans that it would cost £18 to go to a major game? Would be a slightly different reaction wouldn't it?

Speaking of which I choked on me beer during Saturdays FA Cup Final when seeing the FA are selling tickets "from £29" for the England International against mighty Andorra!!!!!
