I always like to think that should one of these cannonball or crusher type tackles result in one of our lads being seriously injured, a broken back for example, that the VT would be up in arms and we’d see a 30 page thread bemoaning it, just like we see if a Wigan player makes one of these tackles.

I know how fair all the guys are over there and they treat everyone, no matter their club, the same and we’d never see a thread with hardly a contribution in that circumstance of a Wigan player getting that serious injury (don’t know why but a broken back keeps coming to my mind).

Firstly I want to say I hope the injury to the KR player is not serious and he is back on the field soon.

I can’t comment on the OP one as I’ve not seen it.

I can’t stand these tackles, they make me cringe. For me Flower has got off lightly with 2 matches.

To be clear I don’t think this is not a generic issue with the 3rd man in it is how the 3rd man enters the tackle. Flower was reckless with the amount of force he used to bring the KR player down. He needs to be far more controlled than what he was.

As for the VT, just ignore the minority of idiots making generalisations bit the criticism of the individual though OTT is fair.

Flower has been on the decline for a few years. Last year my only memory of him is standing up from a tackle pulling his face at the referee. I can't remember a single run or tackle that stood out. Add the cheap shots to his lack of effectiveness, that's when he's not injured, his time is definitely coming to an end, especially with the young lads chomping at the bit.

Let's be honest, that was a complete sh*thouse tackle.
