And if anyone was upset by us talking about him, please accept my sincerest apologies and condolences.
He was a nice guy whenever I spoke to him.

I am sure no one is upset about us mentioning him in a thread about the history of Wigan RL forums. We used to exchange Christmas cards and having sent the overseas cards that year the one I got back was from his wife Irene explaining what had happened.

PD was a lovely guy. Always the calm voice of reason when some of us were getting a bit excitable.
I'm sure something was posted on here about his passing?
Very sad.
And yes PE, I do remember the Parrot Incident! Who could forget that one??
Our relationship with the footy fans in Wigan, was bordering on (forum) open-warfare back then.

My original profile got wiped out in a server crash, but I’ve been around since early 2002 in the days when dial up internet was still a thing



Some of the banter back then was hilarious, in fact, the first thing I did most mornings was to log on here and have a read through. I think this site, particularly in the past, contributed to building up rivalries and tension.

The frequent invasions of the Leeds & Saints boards by the Cherry & White hoardes, were just the very best of times on any of the RL forums. And to be fair, they gave back as good as they got from us!
Just solid p***taking banter, with none of the abusive cr@p seen on some of the FB forums now. And not a mod in sight.

2002 for me, stumbled across the forum from a link one day on Mikes old board. Wasted alot of college lunchtimes arguing with DaveO
