| Super League Dream Team points from this game for Tierney & Gildart
Tierney - on field for 70 mins - 7 points
Gildart - on field for 10 mins - 8 points
Tierney has been good so far this season but this was his poorest game and this dream team score indicates to me that he didn't get involved enough in this game or was carrying an injury. He did get an awful pass from Smith early in the game on the 5th tackle that meant he had to hurry a kick and I seem to recall he came away from the tackle limping.
His dream team average for his previous games this season is 23.
Maybe time for Sarginson at full back.

Got to hand it to you, you've scrapped a hell of a lot better than we have.
Its these kinds of results that seem predict you guys finishing top, looks like you or wire atm, unless our second half to the regular season this year is like our first last year.
You guys will be massive favourites on sunday with what looks like 2 more injuries for us, taking us up to 9 in total I think, If we win it will possibly be our best weekly round result in a few years
You guys feeling confident?'"
We've found ways to win ala Leeds over the years with Sinfield and Peacock on board. We've done that without a raft of first teamers which is hugely encouraging.
Leeds can get all the players back they want but ultimately the glue of the side, the heartbeat, the leaders, what ever you want to call them aka Sinfield and Peacock will continue to play rugby union and call the shots at HKR.
The amount of points those two have dragged you to over the years must be massive and that's already being highlighted.

Calm down guys I know you have injuries too!
Its just ours seem to be affecting us more, probably due the benefits you guys playing a more structured game and at least still having your first choice 7 (a big reason for our backline not being so involved)
Do you guys think that the fact that last year the top teams all had to play 35 games plus (with more against the top teams) is the reason that the top 4 from last year all have an injury crisis?
Definitely something the rfl needs to look at

Wigan had their four top earners missing on Friday, I don't think that will apply to Leeds.

No idea who are top earners are, especially younger players like Hardaker and watkins, so it is possible but unlikely , how do you know e.g. farell isnt on more?
Did you read the rest of the post? or just saw it was from a leeds fan and felt compelled to be confrontational?

A few people do seem to be a bit touchy!
As for your original post, its always hard to be confident against Leeds. I know we'll go in favourites but a Leeds team with nothing to lose will be very difficult. I would probably guess at a narrow Leeds win but we do seem to be developing a good habit of grinding out results lately.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

Wouldn't say we had nothing to lose, we need to start picking up points fast or playoffs will be an uphill battle
If we dont improve I cant see us scoring more than once and you guys and you guys are rightly favourites
We always seem to get rough calls at the DW (you did a bit at Headingly last year tbf) and if it is a weak minded ref then we could get killed
But who knows, JJB and Falloon are possible I think, maybe that's what's been missing...

True they did, however in 2015 throughout the regular season they weren't that important in getting us to top spot.
Losing the 2 legends was always going to be hard, but it's effectively become losing 3 guys considering McGuire's absence and we would've won against Warrington and Catalans had he stayed fit IMO given the closeness of the games (2 and 4pts respectively). Also undervalued just how good Paul Aiton was for us last year, comfortably in our top 3 performers last year before his injury.

McGuire will add plenty from a directional point by of view although I'm still unconvinced he's got the mentality of a captain because he's too emotional.
I agree about Aiton, he was very good last year. When is Faloon fit? I don't know a great deal about him but he's the replacement and you presume they must see plenty in him. I like Lilley and see him playing more at 9 then in the halves long term. Maybe it's just his build but he looks suited to the position and could really get the side around the field from dummy half.

| There was a spell in the second half when we just couldn't get the ball back, but when we did we kept cool and won at the death. Well done to Matty for his two drop goals, and well done to Lee Mossop for being the best prop, even though he did drop a couple. Our defence was impressive, and it needed to be.
However, unlike Shaun Wane who thought the props were excellent I thought that we were poor in this department. Taylor and Ellis were the outstanding props on the field. There was a noticeable drop in intensity for Hull when Taylor went off. It highlighted what we are missing. Flower, Sutton and Clubb were very poor. Mossop the best of a bad bunch though Tautai does continue to improve from last season. Burke, who had played well the previous week, was very poor too. We missed Lockers.
All the backs were good. Special mention to Josh who ran hard and I was made up for him when he got that try at the death. Also George Williams who had a very good game and his defence especially on our line was impressive.
All in all it was a good result without Lockers, Micky, Sam, Joel and Willie Isa.

I would have agreed about Mcguire before last years GF, Farrell and O'Lochilin did just about anything to put him off and wind him up (including what should have been an 8 point try!) and he responded with 2 tries, and assist, and a MotM performance, so no problems there imo
Not sure about Falloon, he looks lightning quick from his highlights, but as injured for the majority of last year and its yet to see how hell convert to SL, Lilly is too small to play 9 unless he gains an awful lot of muscle to help his defending, I actually see Stevie Ward as a better option in that position

I think you might have watched a different game our middles were not poor they defended very stoutly. You might not have seen much go forward but that was probably down to defending so much. George who I think is a cracking player missed 3 tackles from 15 so I dont know how you can say he had a great defensive game. Also Tautai who I agree has been good over the last few games came on and gave away 2 silly penalties. I think if you can say any part of the team was poor then it was our left edge. Farrell also giving away 2 silly penalties and Sarginson was probably our worst performer if anyone 2 penalties 2 errors and 6 missed tackles resulting in multiple trys. We won the game though so all is forgotten just a few things to work on this week that's all. The middles were probably out on their feet for most for the game as we had no ball which was mostly down to silly penalties and dropped balls on the edges. That's how I saw it maybe watch the highlights back.
