| Quote NickyKiss="NickyKiss"Cash, always cash IMO.
Lenagans comments at the start of the season that this was our best squad in his time at the club stink of a bloke knowing he's left us a bit short.
We'll be there or thereabouts this year but that's more to do with the comp still being weak.'"
Defo will be up there and I Agee the comp is weak.
It's only the last two seasons that saints started to recruit better quality after years of under spending which Id guess was towards funding langtree park. McManus used the same line that we had a very strong "home f
Grown" squad.

| This Wigan team has been diluted down in quality every season from when we won the Grand Final with Michael Maguire. Due to the average quality of SL opposition in general has meant we've managed to stay around the top a little longer than we ought to have. Every season we have bought cheap and brought more youth in to cover, keep doing this and eventually you get burned. Could this be the season?

I think the bottom line with Saints is your recruitment has improved rather then you spending more. Guys like Josh Perry and Hohiha were/are expensive mistakes but more recently guys like Walsh, Burns, Amor etc have hit the mark.
We've got a good side but the lack of discipline is alarming!

| I think we have far too many uncertainties going into this season:
Mossop - One hard tackle away from his biscuit shoulder collapsing on him again, then him out for the rest of the season.
Lockers - Plays a few, misses a few.
Bowen - Another misses a lot of games, looks disenterested when he does play.
Burgess - His mind already in Aus?
Flower - How will he perform after a long ban?
Charnley - Rumours he's off end of season.
Smith - Average goal kicker, lots of pressure on him now Green has gone.

Potentially, yes.
Sticking with Bowen at FB has been a disaster, as has relying on Smith to lead us round the park.
You're asking far too much of 18-22 year olds to perform week in, week out.

| You only have to go back to 2012, look at the experience and class we've lost and not replaced.
Tomkins, Carmont, Richards, Finch, Leuluai, Hansen, even good club pros like Goulding and Tuson.
That team would wipe the floor with the current one.

I thought charnley was your best player today by a mile, scored one saved several and without him I think we'd have won much more comfortably tbh
