I would assume that looking at the CCTV and various eyewitness accounts that these were the lads deemed to be the worst offenders.

The lads who have been banned clearly deserved it. If a few have got off lightly then hopefully it'll be a shot across the bows for them and they'll learn how to conduct themselves like grown ups.

A big well done to everyone who came forward and pointed the finger at these lads. Hopefully the Brigantes can get back to what they set out to do and create a good atmosphere rather than the intimidating one that seemed to be creeping in.

I'm sure there must be a right to appeal the ban if you feel it wasn't deserved but I also doubt the club have done this without conducting aserious investigation.

Most mobile phones have now got cameras if you see any troublewhy not take a photo and e mail to the club.

because you then run the risk of being seen doing it and then facing the prospect of being assaulted by the moron(s) in question and having your phone nicked/smashed up

Well done Wigan, swift and tough action, it a first for me hearing a club go to these lengths. Especially when the trouble occured elsewhere.

As for recording it on the phone, whilst a good idea. Probably not top of most peoples list when a fight breaks out.

Duck and cover will be most peoples response, others will defend themselves, it would take the attitude of a freelance reporter to think, I'll whip the camera out and record this.

Not sure what is gained from chasing these guys on facebook. The club know who they are and I'm sure they will have cancelled all season tickets for these guys and can post their own pics on the turnstyles.

About being the first to be banned from a RL stadium, Leigh banned about 6 fans for attacking Cas fans on Asda car park when we where at Hilton Park, they were identified by Asda CCTV as also being known football hooligans.
