Lot of knees jerking here. We were 2 points down at half time last week to a much better team than Widnes. That turned out ok didn't it? Don't panic!

All I can say is Wane has got this horribly wrong! There's a reason Maguire always played the strongest squad available, you can't take any team for granted in this competition I hope Wane learns from what could be a very costly lesson!

5 games into a new season and you rest your 4 best players.

Our last two coaches always stuck with the experienced players and many moaned. Now we get a coach who will give youth a chance and everyones still moaning.

I'm all for blooding new players I think that's great but at risk of losing a game we should be winning that's terrible judgement by Wane, if we played just one youth prospect of the bench today I would have been satisfied.

We need to compose ourselves and stop trying to push every pass when we get infront.

The Widnes crowd are like an extra man and were giving them a leg back in the game time and again.

Tough second half from here. I think we need the first score. On a plus note the best player on the field is a Wigan player.....Steffan Marsh! He's killed us so far.

Sorry i thought MM gave ppl like Tomkins, Charnley, Goulding, MM and others there chance. Might have been in another universe though or dimension to you

Its 1 thing to give youth a chance and get them on the bench or play them in the CC against a side from the lower division. We are 5 games into a season and resting so many when we could have blown them away in the first 60 minutes and then you could play the younger players. 2 points is 2 points.

People moaned about senior players who where playing well bellow par being picked constistantly ahead of promising youth prospects. NO ONE has ever moaned about Russell not being picked ahead of Tomkins.

There needs to be a happy balance. It was originally thought that only Richards and Tommy were to be rested, I thought that was sufficient. When bringing new players in it should be done gradually. This could really bite us, look at the difference between Wire and Wigan last season...one point.

It's all about finding the balance, which is what most fans will want. Sure, rest Leuluai and Richards and start Mellor with Gelling in there - no complaints there. But to rest Tomkins/Leuluai/Lockers you put too much pressure on Finch. It's just asking for trouble.

Unfortunately when you take a gamble like today that so far is biting us you can't expect much else than plenty of frustrated opinions, fortunately for us we are a far better side in tne second half this season but we will need to be as I honestly struggle to see Widnes winning a game this season let us not have that shame over us of being the only ones.
