Sounds about right with 5k from Newcastle tbh.
The funny thing is they play Fulham a week Saturday, probably the only team as notorious as them for poor away support and will only bring a couple of hundred. Could next Saturdays relegation 6 pointer be a sub 10k premiership attendance? Unless the latics marketing boys can pull a rabbit out the hat, or massage the crowd figure next week I think that could be tested, and would possibly be the worst ever premiership gate (I dont even think Wimbledon fell that far!!) !! |
