with Amos on the wing ahead of Goulding.

Bit tough on Goulding but he will still get plenty of game time, but a back 3 of Amos, Tomkins and Richards could be devastating. Amos has to prove he is worth the shirt first though.

we are certainly limited with English players but we do have 1 quota spot available I believe.

I think he's a solid player, but we're definitely going to miss Riddell next season.

That's of course dependent on us brining another hooker in. But were we to then we'd have plenty of options and combinations.

Shaun Lunt has always impressed me to be honest, would he not be worth a year to proove he could up his game further and play for Wigan?

I honestly think Macca can play for Wigan but needs a year away at somewhere like Crusaders or Quins and have a full year playing 1st team footie as someones number 1 hooker.

If we do not bring another hooker in Deacon MUST get a further year and probably start at 7 for me.

I certainly wouldn't be against Deacon playing on. As long as it not to the detriment of Mellor.

I've said before that I feel Tommy will do well at 9, it'll get him involved in the play more and top him from becoming the passenger that he sometimes can be in big games.

Thought McIlorum did ok last night.
He isn't going to be as good as Riddell as Pig's 9 years older and more experienced. Mic M is ok for his age and experience although his injuries are a real concern.

There was an International between NZ and Eng where TL played 9 for the Kiwis. Not sure if it wasn't the world cup. 1st 20 mins Tommy ripped Eng apart which put the Kiwis on the front foot and they won the game.
TL says he prefers playing 9. Mcguire thinks he'll make a good 9, also along with Kearney & Wayne Bennett who played him at 9.

I think we should all give Tommy a chance at 9 where he will play the whole game in one position on the field. For the moment I think I'll give TL the benefit of the doubt over his ability to play 9.
