Quote loyalwiganer="loyalwiganer"once again they have shown what a joke they are with regards to bring players to task ie bailey and ablett.wether you like the aussie system or not had this happened over there these two players would have been out for weeks and rightly so.justice in our game depends which club you play for.this makes a mockery of the punishment handed out to coley.'"

Makes sense. Explains why so many teams voluntarily play with 12 men so often...

I know what you are getting at mate. You see it in football a lot where a side goes down to 10 men but manage to hold on without conceding. They do say teams become much harder to break down in this instance but I'm not sure it would work in Rugby. In football a team will change formation to combat a red card sacrificing attack for a much tighter defence but I don't think you can do this in Rugby as there is going to be a gap in the line no matter what you do if a player is missing. Although it may be the case that a team is woken up and tries that little bit harder to make up for having less men on the field but I think it would be hard to maintain it over the course of a game

Thank you.
It is harder to maintain, but still the effort and the fact that the team still rallies is there.

I think it is definitely possible for a sin-binning that a team can maintain such an effort and I have seen it where a team has actually outscored their opponents whilst having a man in the bin. The question is though does it effect a team later in the game, as it will take a lot out of a team defending with only 12 men on the field no matter how long or short the time.

Coley against Catalans got a grade B offence, Ablett a C. C is more serious than B.

Are you genuinely putting forward the notion that it is to your team's ADVANTAGE to have a player binned???
The whole point of losing a man in any sport is to give the opposition an advantage and the opportunity to score more points against you. Who knew so many sport's governing bodies had it wrong this whole time?!
I'd send your idea to the RFL if I were you. Tell them that instead of having a player sent off, you should be forced to bring a 14th man on as your opponents will rally when they're a man down, giving them a clear advantage over you...
Numpty.

Family brain cell?!?! Here's me convinced it was shared around the entire fan base. On this basis I think Rhinos fans deserve a bit more credit than we give them on here. The presence of family brain cells means there were at least 3 in the home ends on Friday...
