As far as i can see the girlfriend (YICKER who posts on here) will have a nice black eye in the morning, so thank you to the so called Wire fan who thought it was tough of him to her!!!

It's that section of the Wire supporters that are closest to the away end that seem more intent on winding up the opposition than supporting their side. There was a few drunks waiting right outside the Wigan end shouting stuff I couldn't repeat on a forum. They seemed itching for a fight and someone told them to behave there's children around here, but they were just abused. Disgusting. I just kept myself to myself, hid the Wigan shirt and got back to my coach as quickly as possible. It's not worth it.

Well I am sorry but Warrington should have to pay for "their" fans problems... If they have issues within their fan base then they have a legal obligation to protect fans of other clubs... if not, kick them out of superleague... the scum bags! Disgraceful behaviour tonight... Possibly the trouble with tonight was it being a sell out therefore plenty of people turning up and not getting in meaning more people in the pubs than usual and probably some of them peeved (no excuse i know) that they couldn't see it. They then have a few beers and take that out on innocent people.

I hate mindless thugs of any kind, but banning them will achieve nothing if they don't even go to the games.

i had a similar experience outside the very same pub when it all kicked off, me and my mates who are 14 &15 got offered to "fight" from some wire fans who had to be in the 40's and i think that is a disgrace. i know young people have a reputation of causing trouble be we were doing nothing other than walking back to the station.

Instead of throwing insults at a majority innocent party, come up with something constructive.

I was stood at the back of our stand and didn't realise how bad some of our chav following are. The lads around me were all more bothered about offering Warrington fans a fight than watching the game. Mixing the supporters didn't help, they shouldn't do it for this fixture IMO.

Another good point there. Mixing supporters in the Wigan end was dangerous and not just because of the chance of fighting. Health and safety. The announcements to keep the yellow marked areas free were pointless because the end was over crowded. It was ridiculous.

And equally there are a minority of chavs that follow Wigan these days. I guess every club has them. Some more than others though.

I don't think it was a good idea either, one wire fan kept trying to start a fight with the surrounding wigan fans when they were losing. I think he had a wee bit too much to drink which didn't help (he was drinking out of a two pint cup with 2 previously drank cups stacked below it and was the size of a whippet!)

What is it we want in Rugby league? Do we want nice pretty stadiums with fans who can assalt other fans and get away with it, or do we want teams like leigh, widnes etc.. who ok. might not bring as many fans but have no history of violence towards opposition fans? I think that fan behaviour should be included in deciding who gets a franchise and who doesn't, because if it did, then maybe tonight dreadful incidents wouldn't have happened.
