On sportinglife it says "Wigan needed special dispensation from the Rugby Football League to employ Maguire, who was not at today's press conference at the DW Stadium but will join the club next month."
Any idea what the dispensation was for?

All be to do with the rules about coaches needing to have been an NRL head coach or an international coach to work in SL isnt it? |

I don't want to put a downer on things but right now he has the same problem as Nobby had, NO world class players to work with.
It's a huge test for the new guy, we shouldn't expect too much to soon.

I don't particularly care as I’m not trying to sour the moment or pick faults where there aren’t any.
If the website is about to put a statement up I’d at least like it to quote what was said in the conference by MM and IL. |
