Quote Why do you think that you've been unable to replicate the form which you showed for Bradford since joining Wigan and playing in the 2006 Tri Nations?
Chris Handley, Salford
I don't know. If I could put my finger on why then I would have changed it by now. I've had spells where I've not been far off and I don't think I'm too far off now.'"
Quote Have you found it difficult to deal with the tag of world's most expensive player?
Matt Jennings, Wigan
I thought I would be fine with it but I probably never felt as much pressure at Bradford as I do at Wigan. You do get pressure and more stick from fans. Criticism from the media and opposition fans is a given but criticism off your own fans is probably the worst thing you can ever get and there is a lot of that at Wigan and I am probably top of the list.'"
Sorry Stuart, but we paid £450,000 for you and pay you God knows how much wages and your performances by your admission have been ''Not far off in spells''.
I've not a clue how he expects the supporters to react? He's the one who signed the dotted line and he's the one who hasn't replicated performances from his previous club, so surely criticism is justified?
Personally, I like Fielden both as a bloke and as a professional regardless of his failure to live up to expectation...But he needs to accept criticism instead of just acknowledging it. Once he does that, he'll then realize the amount of praise and support he gets from the Wigan supporters. If they're like me, they have been hoping and wishing for Stuart to do well for his sake as well as the clubs.
I don't think Fielden realizes that.
