| Quote: cadoo "Anyone remember the Brian Carney 2 tries v Leeds in a semi final eliminator? Awesome game.
Phil Bailey last minute winner v Leeds
Liam Farrell last minute winner v Saints
The team of kids who beat Saints circa 2003 I think?
Radlinski's performance 2002 challenge cup final.
Jason Robinson try 1998 in the final.
Last Derby at Knowsley Road. Paleaasina's try and the reaction of his team mates.
Andy Farrell playing with a broken nose and Mike Gregory appearing on the big screen (welling up as I type this now)
2006 when we beat Leeds away. Think Calderwood got 2 outrageous tries.
Amos Roberts' performance v Cas away when he moved to fullback. Devastated he had that injury.
The emergence of Sam Tomkins at fullback in away game against Harlequins 2011.
Brett Dallas' leaving his boots in the middle of the pitch.
Josh Charnley's try v Warrington 2011 quarter final of the cup ("it's a match winner, it's an absolute match winner from Josh Charnley)
Joel Tomkins try v Leeds Challenge Cup Final 2011. Does not get the hype it deserves.
I'll park it there. In terms of marketing the club should tap into this thread and make a promo video with fans talking about games like this.'"
I enjoyed the Feka try, it was all set to be a kick then the tap and go to crash over

He shouldn't have been on the pitch

| Joe Lydon's DG at Maine Road was something to behold. That semi was so tight it was always going to take something special to break it open...

| For me a couple come to mind. The first would be the 2011 Cup Final. I went with my dad and the only cup final we had been to together before was 98. It was a great game, there was that outstanding try from Tomkins and we got the trophy against a really good Leeds side. The other was the 2017 World Club Challenge against Cronulla. I didn't get to any of Wigan's previous WCC matches and it was basically my bucket list thing. I travelled over 300 miles to get to Wigan for that one and, despite the appalling record of British clubs in the event over the decade or so leading up to it I was just super confident. I can't imagine it compared to Manly in 87 for atmosphere but it was huge for me to see Wigan lift that trophy in person.

| Good Friday 2000. My first game, which we won 40-20. No specific moment, I can't even find a write-up of it now. I was just mesmerised by the game and have been hooked ever since.
2002 Radlinski's incredible performance to help us beat a heavily fancied Saints side to win the Challenge Cup. Singing 'Cheer up Ian Millward for about a week after'. Brian Carney hammered singing with us outside Abraham Guest at the homecoming.
2003 Beating Saints with the kids. 3 or 4 of them had to get shirts printed to play in that game IIRC. Newton was brilliant that day.
2003 Beating Leeds by a drop goal in the Final Eliminator. Absolutely class game. Even more impressive knowing how good Leeds would become after this.
2004 Saints away, that fight, enough said. We'll never see one like that again in Super League.
2006 What a rollercoaster season. I've never seen the atmosphere better than when we bought in Noble and Fielden and began the great escape.
2010 The first time seeing us win the Grand Final. It felt impossible after seeing Bradford demolish us in both my previous visits to Old Trafford. That atmosphere at the last derby at KR was brilliant too, as well as Feka's try and pushing their scrum over to get the ball back. There was a Wire away game that stands out as well, that was the one that made me start to think we might win something that year.
2011 We were totally unplayable for a long stretch. Joel Tomkins try in the CC Final. No idea how we didn't even make the GF.
I suppose there should be more from the last decade but I've found it a bit less exciting now because I've been spoiled.

| The game at Stains when we lost 75-0 I know it is crap but nobody left and I loved us singing "always look on the bright side of life "
Hanleys try against stains when we won 27-0 Challenge cup
A tackle by Rads on Micky Higham (when he was at Stains)when he was 2 yards from under the sticks and Rads hit him with everything and dislodged the ball.
Mark preston full length intercept try v wire at wembley
Manley game at central park never been to a game with that much electric atmosphere
Carneys 2 tries v leeds -fantastic
Tomkins and Charnleys tries v Wire in challenge cup
The 2 tries for Manfredi in the final after what he went through.
Going to Twickenham and winning the sevens when the kick & clap brigade started to sing sweet chariots then we got the ball and destroyed them in the final
To be honest as a club there are so many great memories to put down.
Stains fan said to me you are living in the past when discussing the game I said but we have a fantastic past and hopefully a great future which I for one will be part of regardless of what happens.

| One of em would be Leeds away in 2018. It was a fairly tedious match, then Sam Tomkins dropped a goal in the 78th minute. Western Terrace was bouncing. Made even sweeter cos my Leeds-supporting husband was in the South Stand.

| Quote: Euclid "Wigan v Australia in Autumn 1967. Wigan won 12-6. Really close exciting game (in my recollection) with a gate of over 22,000 willing Wigan to victory. I was ten years old and took a bugle with me to encourage the lads. A large space cleared around me as I blew, and I was asked not to bring it again by the stewards. Still, this didn’t detract from what felt like a really big event to a small boy from Wigan.
Wigan v Australia, autumn 1982. Wigan didn’t win this but put up a good fight in the last game I saw before I moved to London. But the thing I recall most is that the Aussies seemed like supermen. I remember (I think it was) Ray Price taking the ball up from receiving the kick off and being almost impossible to tackle. I knew we were in trouble. They were from a different planet it seemed. Their skills and fitness levels were a million miles from ours, and British rugby league has not only never caught up, but is now falling further behind.
But it was still a great night to be a Wiganer, and be at an event that has become extinct.'"
This game also came to my mind. I was on that night age 9. Little did I know that would be the last time Wigan would beat Australia. The atmosphere was amazing. The kop end seemed like a sea of cherry and white flags. I was hooked and I am still a season ticket holder!
The Manly game is also up there as one of the most memorable games at CP. What a night that was!

| Two very different ones for me.
1. Walking into such an iconic staidium as the Nou Camp as a Wigan rugby league supporter was special.
2. Leeds away in last game of mission impossible.

| Many many occasions . However TWO really stand out for me when I was there;
1) Wigan v Hull FC 1985 RL Challenge Cup Final at Wembley.
2) Wigan v Manly 1987 - Central park - World Club Challenge.

| It's amazing how looking back most of my favourite moments don't involve winning a trophy. Here are a few of my favourites:
1. The entire 2010 season. I started following Wigan properly around 2003 when I was 10 years old so for so long I had got used to not seeing Wigan compete so to do what we did with just the addition of Deacon to the playing squad was phenomenal. Looking back maybe I remember 2010 being better than it actually was because that was when I left high school and I seem to remember a long, hot Summer of watching Wigan win practically every game.
2. Away at Warrington in the Challenge Cup in 2011, the atmosphere in the away end that day was like nothing I'd experienced before or since.
3. The play off win at Bradford in 2007. Unfortunately I couldn't go as I had my tonsils removed the day before but seeing Calderwood race away for that try got me up off the couch cheering with no voice.
4. Surviving in 2006, the way everyone got behind the team was phenomenal and the DW was bouncing every week.
5. Magic Weekend 2012. The weather was great and the performance against Saints was great.
6. Nou Camp in 2019. Admittedly the result was disappointing but it was a great weekend.
7. The 2018 Grand Final. It wasn't the best game but winning the Grand Final on my actual birthday was the best present I could have hoped for.
These are just memories off the top of my head but seeing them written down does make me realise how lucky we are to support this club.

| Joe Lydon drop goal, Maine Rd.
This one is probably one of my earliest memories watching Wigan as a kid.
Just remember it being a really tight game and this drop kick just came out of nowhere, it was an absolute beast of a kick.
Wigan V Penrith is another one that stands out partly because of it being played at Anfield.
Special mention to the Quentin Pongia chip kick for Carney to score in the corner, possibly against Leeds or Saints?

| 1. 2010 Grand Final
2. 2006 Roller Coaster ride. How the heck that side struggled is down to 1 man.
3. 2007 Comeback against Bradford
4. 2013 Season we made it look easy
5. 2016 Walking out of Old Trafford wondering how did win the final after been poor that season.
6. 2011 lastinute Faz try against Saints place went nuts.
A Cheeky one Terry O'Connor scoring a try against Saints its awarded instantly only on the screens you see him drop it and laughs at it watching the screen.
