| He was another one of those players at Wigan that really divided opinion. I felt he was unfairly left out of the team at points by Noble but the way his career fell away would suggest Noble knew he wasn’t quite good enough. His size didn’t help him and he had similar questions asked of him that Liam Marshall has faced over the last few seasons. Luckily for Marshall he had a coach who showed a bit more faith in him and he’s answered the questions asked of him with his performances.

| You cant mention him without reference to this

Ultimately at Wigan i think it was a size thing he was a small winger, and Noble liked size in a team.

That was the most incredible thing I've seen on a rugby field. Was a fierce local Derby too...

Wigan's first try came from Bowen's fumble which clearly went forwards from Rob Burrow's kick which Farrell then picked up whilst being in an offside position,
Burgess scored on the next play??

McIlorum knocks it back onto Bowen's knee/leg. Faz is offside though yes.

| That was a split second call that whereas the McGuire knock on was watched from about 30000 angles in super slow mo and they still got it wrong.
All irrelevant now.

There wasn't even a pass on the play, it was a scoot

Pretty sure he/she is referring to the pass from Mossop for Jeff Lima's try. That was forward, no question.
Its easy to fall into the trap of thinking that the result would have been different if one decision had gone the other way and that would apply to both the Mcguire knock-on and the Mossop forward pass. Some people look at a controversial try/no try after a match and say if you add or take away 6 points from the final scoreline then the result is different. Which is complete nonsense (unless the decision is made in the last minute) as there's no way of knowing how mindsets and tactics would have changed if the decision had gone the other way.

Yes that's the one! Momentum is what I was thinking of. We'd worked so hard to get right back in it, and that killed it for us.....
Wigan seem to have had their fair share of generous calls over the years....
