For the club to even considered getting rid of the badge showing the Ancient and Loyal Coat of Arms of the old Wigan Borough which was granted a Royal Charter in 1662 is sacrilege.

What an absolute pile of sh!!t. I wont be buying any kit with that crap on it. Looks like a child has won a competition to draw it. No doubt been done to look like an NRL badge. Stop this debacle before it starts.

It’s bizarre. The video of the players reactions is quite awkward they are all clearly thinking ‘wtf’. Hopefully by 7pm it will make more sense. Surely it can’t just simply be that they are changing the badge.

If it is a new badge, hope you make a better job of it than we did with our 80's Thundercat.

If they do move to this badge (which I’m sure will be met with disdain from most fans over the age of 9),it’ll be right up there in the bright ideas department at Wigan,no doubt filed alongside the “we will make millions from taking a game to London/Australia.

I just don’t see the need for a change it’s very shaky ground when messing with badges as the club may find out by 7.03pm

They should know already going off posts on social media. Our marketing team seem totally inept. They regularly post incorrect details and dates of fixtures, and now this. Even the happy clappers that would normally buy a cherry and white coated turd seem to hate it.

They have previous, the bright ideas dept. with the "Riddle" merchandise not so long ago.

You should see the kit as well. Mainly red and black stripes. Proper Salford.

I’ll wait and see what it’s being used for before getting too annoyed. If it’s actually a new club badge replacing the crest on the playing shirts, then I’m absolutely staggered! Hopefully that isn’t the case.
