| The Disciplinary Panel does explain its decisions. Every charge and the decisions in relation to penalties are clearly described; just go to the Disciplinary pages.

| I suppose I’m in the minority of Wigan fans who didn’t see a lot wrong with the tackle.

I said the same thing but thought the crusher/chicken wing should have been really scrutinised.

| 3rd man in, shoulder with first contact at the knee which dislocates Wells' kneecap. Nothing wrong with it? Come on.

The fact he comes in slightly from the side doesn't help Brian
Not had time but I keep meaning to go back to the Ben Flower Tackle, 2 matches for tackling a guy from behind who is still moving forward, week after Adam Milner does the same on Danny Walker & nothing, 2 weeks later Walmesley comes in from the side (And remember that will go against the knees natural movement) and nothing
A poster on previous page says that the Disciplinary explain themselves, they do, it makes no sense as each of those charges has virtually the same description of the charge and bears no resemblance to what I'm seeing with my own eyes.
Look at the 3 tackles - and then tell me which gets 2 matches and which gets None???
Then tell me which is the most dangerous.
Nothing for the chicken wing, nothing for the crusher (And Smithies gets 4) - maybe Wells was too much in pain form the dislocated knee cap and torn MCL to hold his neck for 10 seconds!!! If he had maybe the commentators would pick up on it and then the disciplinary may have done something.
As for the disciplinary - They charged "Jake" Shorrocks on Saturday & Sam Powell, short Number 7
Nuf Said!

Completely, neutral, i didn't think there was anything wrong with the walmsley tackle, i also was somewhat amazed at graham on the neck and the weird way he's arm was being manipulated.

I understand the Jake and #7 it's sloppy and unprofessional, but they weren't charged, merely reviewed.
I really do understand your reasoning about the inconsistencies although we do disagree on the "tackle" It seems to me that we have a a few weeks of clamping down on everything and then easing off again, particularly as we come to the business end of the season.

| What a broken sport we follow.
Significantly worse than the Flower tackle that saw him banned for multiple games.

Mcillorum was one of the best for targeting the knee area. Walmsley is an honest player who doesn't need to resort to the nasty side of the game.'"
Even if that were true, should it have the slightest bearing whatsoever on current cases? Maguire was years ago.
In fact, if you really want to know where the birthplace of most dubious tactics in rugby league is, look no further than Craig Bellyache and the Melbourne Storm!

| Walmsley's tackle was clearly more dangerous as demonstrated by the outcome. I am sure it wasn't intentional but it was clearly more dangerous than Ben Flower's innocuous tackle. I hope Lam gets some answers because everybody is confused on this one.

To be fair quite a few of the Saints fans I know and have spoken to were bemused about the ban for Flower in that tackle. As you say it's the inconsistency that causes fans problems.
