Sorry captain high horse, but I will continue discussing signings with other supporters if and when and how I like. Sorry but this is the real world, we can't all be happy and champion new signings and back our coach when we're unhappy with the signing.
If you don't like it, gallop off.'"

| Quote jinkin jimmy="jinkin jimmy"Rubbish. Sam would have happily seen his contract out. It was the club who wanted to renegotiate to save money. Does anyone actually believe Sam wouldn’t have stayed here on his existing marquee deal? Instead we sign players like Sammut? IL must think we’re all mugs.'"
Sam initiated the move as did micky mac. Sam will be a miss for sure but trust me if his replacement hits the ground running we will have no problems this year.

No that's true, I don't know that for sure.

| Quote THE HINDLEY WARRIOR="THE HINDLEY WARRIOR"What a disgraceful welcome most of you have given to our new signing. What must the poor guy be thinking when he reads the negative comments surrounding him?
And what must Lam and Edwards be thinking about the comments which indirectly are questioning their judgment?
I remember "supporters" being just as negative when we signed the likes of Platt, Byrne, Cowie, Hall, Panapa, etc to name but a few.
Please stop this negativity and get behind and support the guy and his coach.'"
None of those were at the tail end of a distinctly average career having failed at two SL clubs but done well at a L1 club (Workington) and in an arguably over achieving London side. There’s absolutely no comparison.
I’ll support him when he’s in a Wigan shirt but in mine, and a heck of a lot of other supporters opinions, this is a poor signing.

| Cash flow is clearly an issue at the club. Right now we are investing in facilities and structures rather than the playing squad which is fine but hopefully the former will pay off in the next 5-10 years.

| A bit of a 'luxury player' but a good addition to your Squad (in my opinion). I know clubs don't usually have 'half backs' on the bench, but against a tiring team, he'd cause problems !
If it doesn't work out, we (Leigh) will have him on loan !

| Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.
It shows how far Super League has fallen.
No chance I will be buying a season ticket. We are a second rate competition with bang average second rate players.
Every year our best players leave and we sign average players. This has happened every year since 2010. I haven't been excited by a Wigan signing since the Melbourne trio in 2011.
Truth is I don't blame the club. We win trophies. Promote youth. Do the best we can. It is just depressing for the sport in the UK the lack of top tier talent we can attract to this competition.
Our best UK players go to Australia. Cannon fodder players just float around Super League. The only big names we can attract as a sport are players that have cocked up in their competition and have nowhere else to play like Barba. After one year they are straight off again.
Pathetic. What makes this all the more sick is that when played at the highest level there is no sport that can compete with Rugby League. My conviction of that will never wane.

| I am absolutely amazed at the wealth of coaching knowledge on this board , no wonder Wigan are such a successes full club with all these SL quality coaches watching from the seats
Have any of you ever thought of actually going out and trying to coach a real club ?

| So is Escare just our reserve full back now rather than an impact player off the bench? Such a waste if we have him sat in the stands
