With signings like Matty Smith and Blake Green you are making efforts to close the gap between yourselves and the top clubs and I am sure with your great crop of youngsters that are always coming through, Wigan have every chance of being competitive next year.

For me it's not so much credibility, it's a money concern for me.

My worry is fans adapting to the system the same way the players have. If the fans start to only turn up for derbies and playoffs, then the money will float away from the game and the game will crash.

This may never happen and maybe it's a fear that will never come true. But you can see the arguement about why fans should not bother in the weekly rounds.

As for the players playing the system, that's fine, it's the rules we have.

We all know Wire are far from a liked team in super league. However as much as we annoy you and as much as some of our fans are tasteless, (every team has them, c'mon admit it

) I think it would be wrong to say we didn't deserve it, the past 3 seasons I've seen a massive turn around in our team. And though we didn't win I'm still mega proud of the boys.
