| Quote lothlorian="lothlorian"exactly, mossop has been ourstanding for us and hes traditionally a back rower. And i'll stand corrected if wrong but is Gannen a second rower and look at the game he had on wednesday. We need a big pack, and running with three prope as hurt us at times. If Hock is to be played as a prop i'd have him back asap. The comparisons to Finch coming back too soon are different. Finch is expected tp be creative, be a pivot, organise the team around the park as well as having responsibility for the kicking game. Hock needs to take the hit ups and hit the ball carrier hard. A big difference. And although he hasnt played for two years you never lose that natural instinct of when to odd load etc. He wont come back a rip it up, but if hes solid ill be happy. He'll get sharper at the top level by playing top level. Get him in so hes firing on all cylinders come tthe business end of the season.'" Spot on with your last bit and i think thats what everyone will be aiming for we have fielden back aswell soon so 2 people will be losing places

| Quote Pieman="Pieman"but less go forward in most cases.'" You are right in a way but if you think about a big prop v a smaller one the only advantage of a big prop is more go forward thats it
Playing the likes of hock, joel and hansen you get more game time, quicker play the balls (which is crucial) and offloads
So in a way you get more out of them

| Quote king warrior="king warrior"Could they play there? YES but there style of play wouldn't be any good
I fully expect hock to be playing a graham type roll in the front row and it will work it wont take him long to get his game back but when he does god help every other team cause we all know what he can do
I know it's diffrent but down at shevy sharks a Centre moved to prop this season and i'll tell you what he's nailed on for player of the year/ players player you get more time out of them on the pitch plus without the extra size you get quicker play the balls'"
Sorry KW, a bit off topic but who was the centre at shevy you are meaning? I watch them most games and couldn't think who you meant. You can PM me if you want.

Morley and Graham can play 80 minutes and they are large and tackle all day. So what smaller props are better than the 2 mentioned? Someone mentioned Gallen, he is 16st 3 and is 5ft 11. Thats a good build and is heavier than both Mossop and Prescott and is a loot shorter.

which small props outdo the larger ones and in what way. The good big props nearly always outdo a good small one.

He was huge a few months back make no mistake about it. He looks a bit leaner now but that's to be expected once he started training full-time again.

| Quote Last Son of Wigan="Last Son of Wigan"After 2 years out, despite all the training in the world players need a competitive fl contact run out before featuring in a mid season high intensity SL game.
We are all dying to see him feature, but let's be sensible and quantify how much more impact Hock will have once fully ready.
Madge throw Finch into the deep end v wire after less time away, I feel this proved to be a mistake.'"
This is my view. I hope people don't expect too much from him when he comes back.

| Finch came back from injury, Hock is coming back from 2 years of training in the gym, I bet Madge and Wane have had him on a pre-season style of training since he came back and I bet he will find his feet pretty quick.
However I don't think we should expect his best rugby straight away. I think we may have to put up with him dropping a few balls and a few missed tackles untill he gets used to the systems.
If he can find some of his old form though we have a world class player on our hands. We also have the sh*t house people have wanted for years.
