Quite, something we are all extremely aware of.

| I'd say 6, but who am I to argue with Maguire. My only problem with Sam is he's becoming a petulent little bugger. I Love him but he needs to sort it out.

| Sam was a revelation at fullback when he was first switched there but the sweeping play where he joins the attacking line is becoming far too familiar and teams are seeing it too easily and quickly snuffing out the danger. Madge either needs to think up some different set plays or think about moving him back to 6. Our attack has been pretty poor recently not just the Wire game, we seem to be scoring more off kicks and not off a fast flowing passing game that scored us a lot of tries in 2010.

| Think we have to keep him at 1 for now until Amos gets his confidence back. I'd go with a back 7 of this until Pat is back then reassess:
1. Sam
2. Goulding
3. Charnley
4. Carmont
5. Amos
6. Finch
7. Tommy
Whatever we choose we need some stability becuase our back line plays were nothing short of awful on Friday. Too slow and too predictable.

| Roberts at full back and Tomkins at 6 is the best combination for me. I am still far from convinced about Tomkins at full back and Roberts was fantastic there last season before his injury.

| I think a lot depends on Roberts as to where Sam plays. Amos is clearly the best FB at the club when on form, key word being when, because at present he isn't.
In an ideal world I'd like too see a firing on all cylinders Amos at 1, with Sam and Brett in the halves, McIlorum at 9 with Tommy on the bench. But all that for me hinges on Amos and whether he's playing well enough to make the FB role his own.

| In games against poor sides, he is better at 1. In big games he is better at 6.

I'd say Richards is the best FB at the club when fit. His height is just more useful on the wing.

He offers nothing in terms of kick return or attacking threat.
Roberts for me, would be a 1.
Tomkins needs to be playing 6 for me, he needs to get more of the ball in his hands and that is in the halves not at 1.

You have made my day.
I like Mickey Mac, but I argued with half the posters on here how good Riddell was during his first season.
He is/was a class act, excellent distribution, solid defence and a good organiser. Everything that Mickey Higham wasn't.
However many of the South Stand preferred a badge kissing scooter hooker. Now they are beginning to realise what an asset Piggy was.

| 1, while we continue to play with split halves. Otherwise what is the point of having a running pivot playing as a first receiver? Much more effective running onto the ball off a 7.
I say this even more considering our strike out in the 3/4 is now lacking after the departure of MG.
For Leeds I'd go with:
Tomkins
Roberts Tomkins Carmont Charnley
Finch Deacon
Coley McM Prescott
Hoffman Hansen
Lockers
------------
Tommy Lima Mossop Farrell
Also it's hurting us having McM playing 70mins plus, need to spell him.

Safe as houses under the high bomb and he runs it back like a forward.
