Where have I claimed to know any of this? However, what I do know is that IL could comfortably have chosen to match anything paid by Sale but chose not to. To then whinge about his financial offer from Sale is a bit lame IMO.
If he has good reasons for not retaining him, such as wishing to stick to a pay structure within the club, then that's fine. It's also fine if the move is about the challenge rather than the pay packet. But until IL tells us more I'll speculate all I like - with or without your approval.
