20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| What is amazing is that you pies and other fans from other clubs know more about what's going on behind the senes at Leeds than our own fans do. Simply amazing.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

Makes a change from other fans thinking they know more about Wigan than us.

Well one thing's for sure, from reading your message board there's not many of you lot who know what's going on.
There were plenty of wtfs on there this morning. I'd imagine the number has trebled by now.
People are not going to avoid speculation simply because you don't like it. Especially when, as Leeds are a key rival of ours, it's not without relevance to us.

It's not like Bluey made it difficult to work out that, in actual fact, he was a bit of a prat, was it?
The grossly miscalculated war of words that he waged the week before the Grand Final SF would have been enough to get him sacked at Wigan.

No on knows what is really going on or claims to. Speculation which is what these forums thrive on all the time. It's part if the fun isn't it?
It certainly wasn't the plan for him to leave now was it? 2012 was when McDermott was to take over.

The only thing I can see of any substance is that Bluey is the carer for his wife who is very ill. He said after a few weeks on the beach he could see it was time to head home to Auckland where they have a house on the beach. He said he thought long and hard about his one year extention and it wasn't any easy call to make. It would seem with a bit of distance from the job Bluey had a change of heart. I can understand that. Brain mac was gonna get the job anyway.
that would be a start point

| Made up that we ended Dr Evils reign!
After the tripe he sprouted after the game at the DW i'm glad to see the back of him. He comes across as an arrogant moron at times who can't see past the end of his nose.
I'm also glad to see Brian McDermott get a go at a big club. He has had to put up with some big playing staff cuts at Quins and has done a very good job imo.

Perhaps they can appoint him in the following capacity:
"A living lesson in how NOT to play pre-match mind games".
When Jamie Peacock's playing career ends, he can do it for England.

| I believe that McLennan fell quite lucky in that he inherited a very good side with players such as McGuire, Burrow, Sinfield, Peacock etc who were at approaching or their peak.
The same thing happened to Millward at Saints and Dorahay and West at Wigan.
Great coaches change things and make things happen, Wayne Bennett being a prime example.

I suppose he got lucky when he won the tri-nations, and nilled Austrailia in the final in the process. Thats pretty great. He's the only coach to coach a team to back to back SL titles. He's also the only coach to coach a side to a WCC and a title win in the same season.
Say what you like about McClennan the person, but his record as a coach is top class wherever he's been.

Not yet. But, Hetherington has flown to Austrailia to look. Although he has said they're also searching the UK aswell.
