I'm now extremely annoyed, as I've paid up front, and was expecting to see at least 5 or 6 first-teamers/fringe players, rather than a full-blown academy squad.

If I'd seen this before I paid, I wouldn't be going.

£21 for me and my daughter, to watch the academy play.

Why should i pay £14 to watch reserves when its only £3 to watch them at Orrell
Was looking forward to it but to not have a single "first team" player in is bordering on the ridiculous.

I'd have expected a few considering they were rolling on and off at regular intervals verses Wakefield and not one player can have played more then 40mins.

At least theres not long to wait for the Wire game anyway.

I'm all for blooding young players, Leigh are opening their stadium and paying the costs involved to get a game on, and we name this side? This will badly hit the attendance of either set of fans to be honest.

Although if we do beat them, well, I wouldn't like to be a Leigh fan.

We all new this was coming, from the start McGuire said it would be a young team that played against Leigh, and surprise surprise it's a young team.

I'm all for it, it'll give the young lads a chance to play against bigger and fitter opposition, something that many of them won't have encountered.

Just think it'll be all that more sweeter if we beat Leigh with are reserve team.

Look at it this way - it wouldn't have been logical for players to play another game with a 3 day turn around especially when they are trial games. Any first teamers who played on Sunday surely wouldn't have played against Warrington. Therefore, all first teamers were only ever going to get a maximum of 2 games.

Wouldn't you prefer those two games to be run-outs alongside their fellow first teamers - the players they'll be playing with for the majority of the year and are trying to develop on-field cohesion with?

I was hoping Ainscough's performance v Wakey might have seen him get a game v Warrington instead. How bad are Leigh now? Our reserves might turn them over!

I actually think they will do o.k. and am looking forward to seeing how the likes of Charnley, Marsh, Gee, Holland, Davies and Walker etc perform at this level.

Wigan will have to decide soon which and how many players go out on loan, this game will help with those decisions.

I am sure on your Official site it does mention a cash turnstyle, but what they say at the LSV and what they do are two entirely different things. Ticket office will be open on the day, but be prepared to queue

Our Reserves side v Leigh will be far more value for £14 than our first team v Leigh. It is a bit much though isn't it.

Are people really that surprised we are sending a team like this to Leigh given the upcoming game against Wire?

I'm looking forward to it, will be great to see some of the young players take on Leigh. It will be a much better game than last year.

This is ridiculous. I'm phoning for a refund. This is not worth 30 quid. I enjoy watching the reserves and academy, but If I had to pay £15 a week on top of what I paid for my season ticket I don't think i'd bother. Can't see there being more than 2000 on with this match now.
