| Give him the number 1 shirt and it will boost his confidence even more!
Give Sam number 6 and Prescott number 10.
Tomkins or Hansen for number 11.

| Quote: "Mason is a proven performer at every level he has played.'"
I'm sorry, but Mike Greg was academy coach, and then an assistant to Stuart Raper before becoming head coach - the same route that's being presented to SW.
Maguire has already been assistant at the most successful NRL team over the past 5 years, and took on full responsibility when Bellamy has had other commitments.
It seems like a perfectly sensible setup to me, and you can clearly see from the videos, that SW is delighted and excited about it, and also states how he thinks Maguire is a good bloke and has been and will be in touch with him a lot.
Mason is a proven trainwreck of a trouble maker at every level he has played to - he's played himself into the position now where nobody want's to deal with him. The guy is litterally a complete disaster and makes anything Long has done seem tame by comparison.
Bennett thinks he should be gone, Smith thinks he should be gone - that'll do for me, the Roosters have hardly been been the poster boy for team unity this season, and Willie has become a liability to any NRL club. Don't get me wrong, as an athlete he's talented but his off field antics and general attitude are not what we (or any club with any self respect) should be looking to recruit. And if you think Big Willie is interested in anything other than a big fat paycheck, i suggest you review his history.

| Quote: Father Ted "If Carmont re-signs I can see the 1-7 as it has been for the latter part of the season.
1 Phelps,
2 Roberts,
3 Gleeson,
4 Carmont,
5 Richards,
6 S Tomkins
7 Leuluai.
I don't think MM will change all that much around early doors. As the season progresses, well we shall see!'"
How do you think he will play the forwards? Feka off the bench for sure. Start with Fielden and Coley or Coley and Preccy/O'carroll?
I'm really not sure, Fielden and Preccy both lose far too much ball.

| I'm a fan of Phelps and his play from the fullback position but who knows what Mcguire will do?
With a new coach comes a clean slate and firstly players will have to perform in training for places.
He may even consider utilising Phelps in the halves, Leuluai at hooker and bringing Ainscough into the side - I don't think anyone can be too sure at this point in time.

| Phelps at first, then let's give Vievers a little taste of the big time, and see how he does.

| I am sure MaGuire will see enough footage to realise that Phelps is the best FB we have, Leuluai is really a 9 who we have to play at 7 and Fielden is past it and he must be a priority to sort out. It doesn't take a genius.

| Maybe with his connections MM can get a certain No 1 from the Storm over when Phelps contract is up. I mean what with this lad from Halifax who needs Billy Slater!

| The forwards are more difficult to predict.
Fitness may well be an issue for one or perhaps two. If they don't make their target weight a first team place might not be available.
Unless there is a major signing or two the pack may run mostly with the same numbers as 2009, with either Tomkins or Hansen taking Hocks shirt.
With a new coaching set up and half the pack being OOC end of 2010 we could well see a massive upping of performances from a number of forwards in 2010.
Shape up or ship out could be the message for some!
