What does that prove? Your telling me the inform winger in SL at that time wouldn’t have played as well as Roberts? Was Roberts even that good in that game? What had Shaun done to deserve to be dropped as well?
Or what about the Warrington game where Ainscough looked a shadow of the cocky, energetic talent we had earlier on? You could tell he was terrified of making a mistake or messing up. He was hung out to dry by Noble and it’s safe to say from that performance we haven’t been working in training on his kick defence have we.
Before that Ainscough had come in for the Cas game and scored on debut and played well, he then played in the Quins game and won it for us. He’s called up for the Wakey game at the last moment and nails it how so how does Noble say thanks to a kid who has played a massive role in changing our fortunes and saved his job…..he drops him. Excellent management skills there Mr Noble.
Same goes for Sam-He comes into the team and transforms it, plays a massive role against Quins, puts in a stellar tackle on long at Murryfield, scores the decisive try against Wakey in the cup and is dropped against Hull KR the week after and we look clueless. He then gets a MOM performance in the next round of the cup against Salford and is dropped the week after against the same opposition even tho he’s good enough to train for the England team???
What must our young players think?
