I think it would depend how many tickets were left on Friday as to whether you could pay on the day. In any instance you would have to purchase tickets from the office, so I expect you could until they are all sold out.'"
Not sure what he meant by that but on a similar note I find it strange that when the tickets for the game at the HJ went on sale earlier in the season, Wire were selling tickets for the So called "Away" end to the Wolfs fans at the same time if not earlier than when they were passed onto Wigan.
Next thing we had was SLIMply the Blah Blah Blah on giving us stick that we'd only sold 2500k (Or whatever it was) and we couldn't get it through to him that we could only sell out what we were given?
Plenty Wigan fans then bought tickets from Wire for what would normally be classed as their traditional ends and we end up with Mixed fnas in the "Away" end leading to a bit of Agro etc.
"If" Wigan sold out their 3 ends by Wed a.m ((As MAtt has predicted) do you think we should ask for whatever Wire had not sold by then so we could sell them to Wigan fans?
Now personally I couldn't give a monkey's ar5e but it is a bit annoying when previous we've had a couple (And bear in mind I didn't say "ALL" Wire Fans! ) trying to give it the Big un over Ticket Sales!

| The East was the away end for a few years until we got into the PL.

Correct, They only changed the "Away" stand to the North Stand once they got into the Prem.
Previous to that it was always the East Stand that was the Away Stand.
PS
That's because I was at the City game mentioned above in the City "End"

In terms of the tickets for the away end, it is up to the home club, for the past couple of years the travelling support has dropped at most grounds for obvious reasons, and whereas in the past it could be relied on Wigan and Saints fans selling the full 3.5k in the West Stand, that can't always be guaranteed at the moment, so if they can sell tickets to the home fans then I have no issues with that (although stewarding needs to be strong).
Last season Wigan brought a low following to Warrington and I would suspect that was the reasoning behind giving Wigan the 2.5k this year. Had they sold them a week in advance, I don't doubt they would have been given more. None of that is a criticism by the way, 2.5k is still a great following, and especially in the current climate.
Unfortunately some people will take any opportunity to criticise their rivals, without realising that they are making themselves look stupid!

Wigan Warriors today announce that ticket sales for their game against Warrington Wolves on Friday, titled the Big One 2, have smashed through 20,000 with the game heading towards a sell out.
Over 2,000 tickets for the game were sold on Monday alone and the South Stand now has less than 100 tickets remaining.
Very limited availability exists in the East Stand and less than 1000 tickets remain in the West Stand. Ticket sales are also strong at Warrington, and they also expect to sell the North Stand out.
Marketing Director Simon Collinson said:
"We expect this game to sell out in the next couple of days so would urge anyone who wants to attend the Big One 2 to purchase their tickets as soon as possible.
"The atmosphere at this game will be electrifying as the top two teams in Super League go head to head. It is a match not to be missed!"
Tickets are available from the DW Stadium Ticket Office, the Warriors Ticket Hotline on 0871 66-33-522 and online via Warriors E-Tickets.

| I don't think it'll be a sell out. We have these statements from the club in the build up to every big game and they rarely get much more than 20,000. I'll go for 22,500 for this game.

For reference, Wigan is like the Roman Empire. Warrington is like the pillow fort I built in my bedroom when I was 9. Ok, 26...

Yes. Wigan shifted 1100 yesterday so Wire probably sold 900.
Now less than 50 left in the South.
