It's easy saying you're going to do it, doing it is something else. We are lucky we have 10-20+ (and growing) committed supporters willing to give up there time to erect, design, fund-raise the flags and merchandise...etc.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league

Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate

the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever

I think they are looking at getting a group of fans together to sing at the games. Something we have yet to have huge success with.
Fairplay to them.
They already have a lot more flags than we had to start with.
Ski off their board used to erect their flags at KR and is willing to put the time in by the sounds of it.
They might not raise thousands for some big wavers and merchandise etc. but if anything they do improves the atmopshere and gives us a 'rival' supporters group then surely it will be worth while.
We are certainly lucky to have a commited group of people though, something you wouldn't get at just any rugby club. |

Said that on their board. Untill we have our own section at home (even if its just for singing) then I don't think it will really take off at home games. Away games have been brilliant though.
Any news on Wembley by the way? What are the chances of anything happening? |

Slowly Slowly catchy Monkey!
With regards to Wembley, conversations started Yesterday and early signs are that the RFL are keen to assist.
We will have a lot more update by Thursdays meeting but obviously Wembley presents a whole lot of different complications than other venues. |

T-Shirts/Hoodies etc are proving to be a cost/logistic nightmare.
Basically the up front cost for ordering them in bulk are much higher. This then means more outlay to begin with and less "Profit" for the funds at the end.
It is being considered, anyone who wants to know more details is more than welcome to attend Thursday's or any future Meet ups.  |
