| Credit to all the fans for the noise on Sat, its a pity that the away ground atmosphere does not carry over to the home games. A joint effort with the club to encourage singing sections in the DW would help.

| The way we had to leave Central Park was upsetting and then we had to move into a new but for us soul-less stadium - and the trophies dried up. I think it was the 2006 in which as a set of fans as whole we refound our soul and our pride, though the passion was always there. When our team needed us and our club stared relegation in the face we got louder and prouder and crowds went up. I've never been so proud to be a Wigan fan as that year.
Working from that base, we needed something special to kick on again and I think it's remarkable that some of our fellow fans took it on themselves to create just that. The work the Brigantes have done with the flags, the songs and generally the atmosphere at games is awesome. There's various categories at the Man of Steel awards and it's just a pity one of them isn't Fans of the Year because the Brigantes would win it hands down.
People love what's been created and I can only see it growing and getting better next year. Awesome work, people.

| Some very good comments about the Wigan fans from different players on twitter with Nick Fozzard giving probably the best.
He posted that it was an unbelievable effort from our lot and that we have a great team and outstanding supporters.
Nice to hear it from outside our own lads.
On a side note I saw 2 Wigan lads walking about a mile away from the stadium. Stu Fielden posted on twitter he picked them up on the hard shoulder and asked what they were doing to which they replied 'walking home'. They got a lift to Wigan from Fielden. Ha ha.

| It was brilliant when the lads came out to warm up with the whole stand bouncing and singing along to cherry and white ! Tommy's and sam's faces in particular showed how much it means when they see the fans like that

| was fantastic...im not really into getting in the middle of it (im too old.. )...but the view from the south stand was great....it started in one corner, and by the end the whole stand was rocking.........and trust me....it spread to the south stand too.
a lot of people dont realise how much these guys put in behind the scenes...and its snowballing.
we are the envy of other clubs now thanks to these guys who started this brigante/ultra/flag thing.
excellent stuff.........i just have one tiny moaning thing (wouldnt be me if i didnt), but that'll keep till the of season.

| Quote: Nogga "Madge is a Brigante The whole "brigantes" thing is a bit of a cliched gimmick if we're honest and doesn't really belong in RL for me (I am an old git though), but it's effectiveness can't be denied. I just hope we don't end up apeing it...

| Quote: Northampton_Saint "Can't deny your support was utterly fantastic on Saturday. I never thought I'd see the day when Wiganners would stay to the end of a game and actually continue to make a racket to support a beaten team, but hats off to you for turning it 'round
Thanks for that.
But there are many of us Wigan fans who will stay to the (sometimes) bitter end, no matter what.
Cant deny that the 'B' name has led to much pee-extraction from fellow RL fans (and football-types).
BUT the effect has been just astonishing! Particularly away from home.
And if that fervour can ever get translated back to the JJB?
FORTRESS!!
