39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubblegum.
Don't you struggle. Don't you fight. Don't you worry, cause it's your turn tonight!

I bet we get to that game, but as usual stumble at the last hurdle. Oh well, anybody ready for a similar 2010.

| Looking at the table we could easily finish 5th and dire finish 8th....that would give us a home tie in the first week of the play offs to put them out.....that would be enough for me now....we aint gonna get to Old Trafford but lets finish wires hopes for the Super League and get a bit of revenge

| What happened?
Last week we were the best thing since sliced bread Noble was God and our players were world class.
This week Noble's head is demanded on a plate and a player witch-hunt is currently underway.
And we wonder why we're called fickle.
In response to your question - No our season isn't over.

| We need to get the defeat out of our system and make sure we finish at least 5th.
Then you're into knock out footy and who knows.

To be honest i think I and a lot of others on this board still wanted noble to go, but with the form we were in I could understand why Lenegan would give him a one year deal.
I still don't think he's the man for the job, but if he'd got us into the playoffs and got us to wembley we couldn't have grumbled that much.

| In all honesty we weren't that great against saints. Dropped too much ball and had to do too much defending. Saints didn't capitalise until the end but Warrington played us off the park after Bailey scored. The writing was on the wall on Sat when Warrington had that disallowed try in the opening 5 or so minutes. Is our season over - undoubtedly. Only third placed and above stand a chance...

| Whilst you are obviously disappointed now after the cup defeat, the fact is that you are likely to finish 5th, meaning there is a good chance you will win your first playoff game. You have already beaten the likes of Saints, Hull KR and Leeds, so with a bit of luck you could still do well.

Yeah alot of people still wanted him to go regardless of our 'run of form' but some others who were twisted on getting Noble out at one stage suddenly became BN's biggest fan.
Personally I want what's best for Wigan whether that be he stay or he go (my preference being he goes) but if IL decides he is to stay then he must see it in that it's the best thing for Wigan and we as fan's must respect that.

As I've said on another thread, IL and BN bigged up this year - gave our hopes and expectations that little bit extra.
It's like buying a child a playstation game for christmas - looks very good and has the potential to be excellent. But for some reason or another the game keeps crashing - you get a good run out of it but it crashes too often.
For me thats Wigan. Potentially excellent - realistically dire.
