I find it amusing that Pie fans will find anything they can to be patronising about when it comes to Warrington. 'Historically' Warrington have been one of the best supported clubs in the history of the RFL, unless you think history started in 1980.

| When I started to support Wigan in 1945, The Wigan v Warrington game was always the one most eagerly contested and looked forward to. Saints were "also runs" until about 1951

It seems to me that your forgetting you won all your trophies when you were a professional outfit and everyone else was WORKING 5 days a week and playing Rugby. We had Cullen for which i am truly grateful for keeping us up.But now we have a top coach and rebuilt a top team which can compete against top teams.hence 2 challenge cups and league leaders shield, not bad in 3 years. how long did it take you to build before you won anything.....

If we pip them by a point they might want to reflect on the fact they lost to Widnes

You've definitely forgot how to use grammar and punctuation properly, that's for sure.

Wind your neck in.
In Rugby League Wigan and Leeds have traditionally been the big two of RL. This is generally accepted by most RL fans. Hull FC are another fairly big club and Saints are on the fringes of being one. These clubs are always considered big clubs no matter how good or bad they are and generally are the clubs the other teams want to beat
Warrington have always been a fairly average club in every way shape and form and although they may have had the odd bouts of success it certainly has never been sustained. They are much like Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield in that respect and I would say they are in the next tier of clubs. There are times though when they havent even been this. These kinds of clubs may have had their moments but they have been fleeting and if you want to harp on about a league win 60 years ago that is up to you. At the moment Warrington are on a periodic high due to spending big, a new stadium and a good team, much the same sort of thing as has happened in the past, with the likes of Bradford most recently. If Warrington can continue in the same vein as they have been doing the last few years then maybe things will change and they can cement themselves as being a big club. I actually think its great for Rugby League that Warrington are on the up, getting decent crowds in a decent stadium but it is a recent phenomenon and is certainly something that hasnt always happened throughout RL history.

It seems that you're offended when corrected. Your original post stated '[iHistorically they have always been a rather small club with no real fanbase as such. However now after a few decent seasons when they are finally begining to attract some decent crowds they now want to mix it with the big clubs. Its quite sweet really.'
[/i Now you've upgraded Wire to a ' fairly average club'. Your updated view also now seems to be that only Leeds and Wigan are 'big clubs'. Interesting. If you really think that '[iits great for Rugby League that Warrington are on the up'[/i why the stupid patronising comment about being '[isweet[/i'?
Fun to see that you think that Saints are only '[ion the fringes of[/i' being a big club! They've won a lot more than Wigan in the last ten years, but I guess if you want to [i'harp on about league wins 20 years ago that is up to you[/i'.
There's not a lot of point listing trophies won by all the clubs you mention ( anyone can look them up on Wikipedia ), but, given that you single out Hull FC over Wire, please note that the former have six championships, three challenge cups and one John Player/Regal trophy. Wire have three championships, seven challenge cups and four John Player/Regal trophies. I don’t see much evidence there that Hull are a ‘bigger club’ than Wire.
Looks like you're the one whose neck is stretched.
