I cannot describe my excitement at the prospect of seeing wigan line up against the best australia has to offer next sunday. It makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up every time I think of it and it brings a huge smile to my face knowing that I will be there and will be apart of legacy whether we win or lose.

As a wigan fan I have grew up in awe of games like manly at central park and the famous win in Australia in 94 and the thought of making it 4 WCC's is one which I cannot grasp yet. I will be bringing my 10 year old nephew to the game and as I keep telling everyone currently he may not seem so interested in the game but in 10 years he will be able to say to his friends "I was there"

I know we as fans can't help what happens on the pitch, if St.George win I will be proud to say that I have seen us compete against the best; if wigan win I will find it hard to control my emotions! But one thing we can do is make the atmosphere intimidating like the manly atmosphere, lets truly make this sunday special and let's prove to everyone else that we are the club who sets the standards!

Wane and Madge will use their big game experience but this is one game where I am completely sitting on the fence! Hopefully our fitness prevails!

This game is definantly the biggest game in Wigan for a long time! We will become 4 time winners of this trophy and if there was any doubt over us being the greatest team of all time then this doubt will be put to bed with a win!

I completely agree with everything in this thread!

We need to boo the aussies as they come out chant 'who are ya' and make them unconfortable! Lets make it hostile and give them hell! Lets have the team kick off with everyone on their feet chanting Wigan and lets chant and cheer for every tackle and pass!

This game will be tougher than any game against Leeds or St Helens last year, we could go behind early and we must stay behind the team!

I can't wait, the atmosphere will be amazing, I hope everyone walks out unable to talk about the game because no one has a voice left!

I have maintained while we've not been a part of it the world club in its current climate is nothing more than a glorified friendly. I won't give it any further respect just because we are a part of it this time round.

Just thinking about what this means gets my welling up all ready and its only bloody Monday morning, Win , lose or draw it's a huge achievement just to be in this possition given the state of things back in 2006 !! The lads should be really proud of what the have achieved in a short space of time.

IL has changed the direction of the club no end ! Madge Wayne and Bitcome have got the lads playing as a team.
