I'll put an end to this ridiculous comment, at Salford we have a cheer leading club called the Red hot flames, we also have younger age groups too the fire starters and the sparklers, the flames are our normal cheerleaders average age of about 18 to 20+ yet they aren't in the country at the moment due to the world championships their competing in, so the women who runs the flames decided to let the the little kiddies have a go, not only is this great for the kids to dance infront of their families at a rugby match but it also gives them experiance for when they grow up and eventually take over from the adults.

Anyone who thinks otherwise are clearly a bit messed up.

Really do not see a problem with different age groups performing a dance routine at half time or before the game. If learing at 16yr olds is what gives you your half time kicks then the posters on this forum are right to be concerned! Surely applauding the community work being done for all ages and sexes is what should be done here rather than criticise because you haven't had your fantasy half time!

Some people really must have difficulty either reading information or processing it. rlHererl is 14 pages of rugby fans like us viewing cheerleaders as sex symbols. When Salford then run some cheerleaders like those in the thread, along with some kids, all in the same outfit doing the same routine, it could be said to send out a mixed message, which I am against. You should be ashamed to band about hurtful completely unfounded accusations like that which you surely can't believe to be true on the basis of what either me or 'post' said.

American cheerleading is a sport while most RL cheerleading groups are part of a clubs' community work trying to bring all different types of people into the sport. Glamour in cheerleading in the US has caused numerous suicides and a growth in young women wanting plastic surgery just to be like those girls you have linked.

This is not what Salford or any other RL club have or should ever be about. I do not know what these girls were wearing however the kinds of outfits young dancers wear at competitions probably cover much less.

Ok maybe I was a little strong on you and you probably do not go for a half time kick but while 99% of the crowd were either getting a burger, taking a leak or admiring the girls dancing skills it appears you went much further into the PC brigade way of thinking, when such a trivial matter would have been best left to a mere thought.
