| I'm not defending bad behaviour here (and I do believe there was some last night albeit borne out of confusion) but I think the people taking the 'simple set of instructions' are wide of the mark. Our PA is shocking and half the time it's difficult to make out exactly what is being said. Let's be honest here, even some of the young soldiers around the ground didn't know what was going on and 3/4 of the ones at the East/North end of the ground marched off during the minutes silence as they too weren't sure what was going on! Now I'm sure there was no lack of respect intended in that.
As for the 'adults' who weren't sure what was going on, ever thought about the hard of hearing? I'm not saying all were but it would only need the odd one or two to misunderstand and start clapping or break the silence to cause others to do the same. Again, I'm sure there would have been no lack of respect intended.
As I said, I'm not defending any genuine bad behaviour, but some on this thread could do with having a little more respect for the fact there were around 19,000 people in that ground last night and not all wiould have been able to hear or understand just because you did! Respect works all ways....

| While the bad behaviour at the beginning of the minutes silence was disappointing, the off the cuff, totally unplanned applause while the ball was being presented was extremely good.

I sat in North last night and if South is like that no wonder your moving. Its for a beer and was full of scrubbers who didnt have a clue. I prefer sitting in west, theres more bars and less people and its much more enjoyable

I was in the north and i couldnt hear jack sh*t over the tannoy. It was very confusing and i even said to my dad im not suprised people got it wrong and started clapping/chanting because it was so different to any other minutes silence ive ever seen. As for the idiots who were laughing that was stupid, I coule hear that from the other end.

| I aint sitting in the south next season, the only reason I do is for my nephews who have junior season ticket otherwise I would be in the east.
With the price being the lowest in the south it should be marketed as a family stand with offers for families (similar to what they did against Leeds) not a cheap season ticket for 16/17 year old who can get in on a junior season ticket but still get served at the bar, checks should be made on junior season tickets when they enter to see whether they are under 16.
The more chavs who go will put families off.
Something needs to be done about it with more stewards being around the chavs ready to chuck them out if they misbehave.

| what was going on in the south stand about half way through the 2nd half
seemed like some of the little d**** were running around with stewards after them
I agree with what someone posted last week (not sure if it was on here or Warriors fans), the tickets allocated to serving soldiers should have been in the south, with an ok to knock the s*** out of anyone who is lacking in respect / desrespectful little chav, but on the other hand why spoil their well deserved evening out

| Shocking behaviour last night. To LAUGH after the Last Post for whatever reason is utterly disgusting.

Me too. Last night with those kids at the back was embarrassing. No respect at all.

| I actually couldn't believe what was happening. Still don't really know what to say to be honest.

| Disgusted with the behaviour shown by a small minority of idiots last night. I'd quite like those kids to go and do a stint in the armed forces themselves and see what kind of attitude they come back with. Sure they'd learn a bit of respect then!

If I were you mate, i'd move away from that area, especially if you don't want to be tarred with the same brush.

I couldn't agree more. I was filling up whilst that was played and don't mind saying it brought a tear to my eye. When you actually take a minute out to pay tribute to the brave personnel that are risking their lives every day for me and you, it really brings it out of you. It was a great tribute from the Wigan club and I thought the whole event was superb.
The idiots in the South Stand just back the theory that they should bring back National Service. There would be no laughing then! Confusion or not, the referee blew the whistle and chavs in the South Stand were making din & once told to shut up, some idiot shouted 'Sorry' which was followed by laughter. Disgraceful. It really made my blood boil.

| 100% agree with all that has been said - the club did a great job last night, it was great to hear the brass band and the kid's choir and the ceremony just before the match was very moving, was biting my lip during the last post and then ............................... the Victor Meldrew moment! Did not know where to put myself - I know youngsters these days don't have much respect for anything but that took dis-respect to a whole new level for me and am still quite speechless about it but if I move on from that I would also like to get hold of that drum and place it where there is no sunlight . Normally the drum doesn't bother me but all that barmy army tripe had nothing to do with the match and they were just having their own little jamboree up the top of the south stand . I very much doubt if they were even watching the game and it was just irritating last night.
