Quote: Stu M "I was surprised with Watson’s comments this week when he implied that Saints and Hudds are the two best teams.
Wigan are comfortably our nearest challengers and us and Wigan are the two best teams in the comp by a distance. It makes for a fascinating end to the season, a lot will depend on injuries. We lose Welsby or Lomax and we are potentially done. Wigan lose French or Field and it could be similar.'"
I think the full quote of Watson was along the lines of Hudds and Saints being the best two teams in terms of field position and turning the ball over, and I agree with him. Wigan have suffered that fate in games against both teams, with them only being able to get over the line in one game, but both really tight, nip and tuck games.
That’s why I say Hudds will be a challenger to Saints; their grindy style of rugby is suited to the play offs.
