Who by ?, if we had a vote on here for Wigan's greatest ever player and only 50 people bothered to vote and 45 of them said Denis Ramsdale would he be our greatest player ?, of course not, its not possible to say any try was the 'greatest' ever, or which player was the 'greatest' ever, all you will get is different peoples opinions.
p.s. Which was Latics greatest ever goal ?...............................in your opinion !!!!!  |

Why not a statue of Lance Todd with the names of the trophy winners over the years on the plinth. Although Lance Todd was a Wigan player, this is less of an issue than his role in establishing Rugby League in New Zealand and his contribution to the game here in England. The "Lance Todd Trophy" is synonymous with rugby league and very much so with Wembley. It covers a large part of rugby league history and by including the winners, it encompasses the family of rugby league and does not show bias to any club. Reading this back it sounds far too in depth - so it looks like we have a big mouth from Thatto Heath, who, yes was a genius, yes did have his moments at Wembley, but he was also a controversial player and coach who was well able to bend the rules when needed.

I disagree with having Lance Todd, it's a cop out to not offend anyone who supports another club after all Lance Todd has the MOM named after him. |
