He was second to O'Loughlin in the tackles made and was not the only player missing tackles; he may not be prop but he is quick and fit enough to cover any of the back row psoitions

Have gone with Lima on the bench to add a little bite at rotation time, and Hughes is in there for 2 reasons. Mainly to cover for George in case he has a problem (possibly his fitness if the game is quick. He hasn't played for a month don't forget) but if George is ok then he can play in the SR and let H or Hock puch up into the front row if things are going wrong in that department.
MM needs to start in defence like he did against Leeds, Catalans and the GF against Stains. We MUST shut Monaghan down. Without him, Briers can't play his normal game either.

| does nobody think flower is like hansen a few season ago? plenty of attitude and willingness but not the body to match it? flower will only improve just as hansen has.

| Tony Smith said Monaghan struggled on Sunday after Wakey targeted him because he lacked match fitness. I believe he's had ops on both knees so it may take him a few weeks to get up to speed.
The 2 players I always want to see us target are Monaghan and Westwood. Michael Mobaghan is such a clever hooker and he's the heartbeat of their side even more so then Briers. As for Westwood he's their pack leader and if you let him run riot the rest of their pack will follow.

This season he has easily been one of our best players and is getting better every game. Still got a long way to keep it going this season but so far so good imo.

He's not your dull, trundling Second Rower if that's what you want.
He makes things happen with his offloads, and as others have pointed out, those coaches that know a lot more about Rugby League than you clearly disagree.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

| As much as Hocks "Brain-farts" are annoying, and i have been critical, he must be a bloody nightmare to defend against. Strong, fast, and difficult to get a hold of. And, you have no idea if he will offload or not. These types of unpredicabilities make him an asset in structured play, as well as a liability. Great value for money in my view.

I do think he's being a bit more selective with his offloads, even though he is giving up posession still. Having said that, although it's frustrating, I do think what Hock offers us in attack is worth one error a game. What does need to change is the amount of penalties he is giving up, he's worse than ever this year. 9 penalties in 7 games is an absolute sin.

| He needs to cut out stupid penalties at crucial times. Didn't he give the penalty away that got Widnes in position for their DG?
Second highest penalty conceder in SL.

23997_1287161421.jpg
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_23997.jpg |

His offloads look good when they come off he just tries everytime he takes a ball in

Lockers is a bit of a penalty machine too, and never moreso than last year when he gave up 26 penalties in 26 games. The difference though, as you alude to, is that Lockers makes twice as many tackles, and plays the full 80 in nearly every game.

| Two of Hocks penalties have been for mouthing off, and that is unforgivable.

| Quote: NickyKiss "Examples of that this season?
I agree in the past he's made mistakes but he's been superb this season and that's all down to him finally playing with some maturity. He's not over playing with the ball, he's not making as many silly errors as in the past and is just so hard to put down.
The people who've watched him every week this season can't fail to be impressed but then 7 games doesn't make a season or a career. It's up to him to keep it going.'"
Cas away, makes a half break demolishing their centre and proceeds to throw the ball over his shoulder without looking 10 yards behind our line stripping us of all our momentum. I could name many more examples from just this season, ignoring the eye gouging last season. He will cost us big in a big game this season and that's why he's not Wigan quality - too much of an idiot.
