| Robbie Hunter-Paul does a good job on BBC when involved with their coverage. Hes got a good current knowledge of the game and he is touch with reality and seems unbiased which is the total opposite of dumb and dumber on sky. I would have him as a presenter or a commentator.
I think John Wells does a good job in the analyser role and he should definatley have a regular slot.

Just think ... there's always a chance they will lose tomorrow, and if they do, they will disappear from this forum for the next five months. Just like they did last year, and they year before that.

| Please not Robbie Paul with his dull mumbling voice I haven't a clue what he is saying most of the time. We need to say bye bye to Eddie and Stevo for one game a week and have that Andrew Smith ( covered RL WC 0icon_cool.gif off sky sports news alongside Carney, Cullen and Clarke. Barry and Terry can go for me also.

| Its Stevo that drag's it down, for me, and he seems to get worse each year.
He repeatedly struggles to recall the basic rules of the game and can't make resoned arguments, he just blurts out any gut feeling he has.
Why the they let him get in a debate with Stuart Barnes, I've no idea.
I know people on here don't like eddie, but in terms of commentating, his voice does the job of adding excitment whilst commentating, rather than the reletively monotone Bill Arthur. The problem I have with him is when he gets dragged into a double act with the bald one.
I like Carney and John Wells, my opinion on Cullen and Clarke go up and down (I think Clarke pushes his stats a little too much) and Baz and Tez add a decent players perpective (probably not unlike Stevo 20 years ago).
Stevo Out!!

Are you not thinking of John Davies?
Yes I agree, thought he was pretty good and at the time thought he was being groomed to take over.

Agree with that. He's actually a good commentator IMO, but he spends too much time bantering with Stevo. With Stevo out and a bit more focus (commentate on the game, not the ref or other teams that aren't even playing!) I think he could be excellent.

I like him as a commentator too, might be good to have someone else fronting the show though so we can keep him in the commentary box, like Martin Tyler does on Sky.

| Eddie is past it too but at least to his credit he can generate some excitement, but there's much more for a commentator to do. Both he and Stevo seem to spend an awful lot of the game complaining, generally it increases as the game wears on and they got more and more irate about perceived injustices that aren't even there. They lack understanding of some pretty basic rules, get themselves all riled up and then have to be corrected by Brian Carney or Phil Clarke. Eddie and Stevo just come across as two slightly senile old men, which isn't what you want for a commentary team and Eddie has the same problems as Stevo.
It's just a shame that Bill Arthur doesn't really have the right voice to be good enough because he can commentate fairly well. The Championship games are usually enjoyable to watch but he just doesn't add any excitement. Barrie Mac is also a very good co-commentator so I can see him taking over from Stevo eventually.

Not just with Stevo, with everyone! That's the problem. It makes him come across as an amateur and thus the broadcast becomes amateurish. I like the bit Jon Wells does at half time but the exchanges Eddie does with him are always cringeworthy and embarrassing to watch. I'd never suggest anyone watch Rugby Union but the difference in production standards off the pitch is vast.
Part of the problem is that Sky's Rugby League coverage is still pretty much the same people that started back in 1990. Ok some pundits have been brought in but it's never had a re-fresh like other sports and it shows!
Having a seperate studio from commentary box would be a major start. At half/full time they always re-cycle opinions we've already heard on the commentary - whats the point?

| Boots n all has had its day for me and is well past is sell by date.
The program seems to go from one extreme to another of good (sometimes) incisive reporting to dragging the sport back to the dark flat cap ages
Pity really as the game is crying out for a real slick top notch magazine program with some good reporters or nut cases like Andrew Johns and Fatty Vautin !

| I sometimes think that RL misses a trick when I see some of the celebrities that do follow the game, especially other sportsmen like Ryan Giggs, Andrew Flintoff and Lee Westwood to name a few. Why aren't we getting them onto our RL shows as fans of the sport to tell people why they love the game? The Footy Show has high-profile guests and celebs on all the time (Hugh Jackman was on this week!) Then I remember that it will be Eddie and Stevo asking them the questions and I immediately shudder with embarressment

| Maybe we should have a Brian Carney type interview with these Superstar Superleague supporters.

| I've always quite liked Rod Studd as a commentator. I do like Eddie and Stevo, and although they do infuriate me at times, they also make me laugh at times. I do think the format needs a refresh, though I did prefer the more in depth look at this weekends forthcoming games on this weeks Boots n All.

| Stopped watching Boots N All 5 years ago, would rather 1 episode of the NRL footie show than a whole season of Dumb and Dumber. Still waiting for a so called expert that isn't so bias that he might as well be wearing his club shirt. It's broken, but at a loss to who could fix it, not Cullen not Robbie Paul-Hunter-Tit, bring over Rabbits, Sterlo and Fatty.
