I have advance rail bookings Edinburgh to Wigan return Friday / Saturday and a advance hotel reservation @ the Wigan Oak Hotel both non refundable. This would not be the first time this has happened and i lost a lot of money that time too .'"
Unfortunately sky have the right to move any game until it reaches the cutoff date, wigan have no choice in the matter unfortunately which is a royal pain in the ass
I live in swansea and am very wary of booking anything that is non refundable until sky dates are confirmed |

Possitive spin from the club. We might be able to sell more tickets now that it is on a Saturday, and buy the way if you have bought a ticket expecting the game to be played on Friday and now cant attend , who gives a .

They're not even professional enough to crop the pic of Kris with the Big One logo, so you now have a story saying one date and a pic saying another. If Sky say we have to switch I don't suppose the club can do much about that, but the PR-handling by the club so far is embarrassing.
Get the old date off the website entirely, use the positive spin on the new date and actively address the concerns of fans adversely affected - do they get money back or not on tickets? |

Thanks, Matt. I'm not affected but I know someone who is and I'll let them know. The club needed to say that clearly and upfront from the beginning though, so people know who's to blame and don't start (as people have here) blaming the club.
It's simple, basic PR practice and believe me, after 35 years in that kind of game, I do know what I'm talking about. Sometimes you have bad news to impart - make the best of it by being open, clear and proactive with your side of the story.
