In Smith we trust:Black Backgrounds/Animal.gif |

What. Your family member? He's named in the 19 for Friday and has trained today with Warrington. In my opinion, should he be due to leave then Tony Smith wouldn't have him near the first team squad. If you want proof of this remember what happened to Gleeson? He was shipped out and told not to come back unless he didn't found a club in 2 weeks.

I'd worry about Lauaki's mobility if he did but I'd be more happy with Flower in the back row then front row so I'd expect that to be the case.
Looking forward to seeing Hughes and Faz on Friday. Both are exceptional young players and it's a good chance to take their games on a level.

Your 'family member' has failed badly. Wood is going nowhere according to Smith.

| Where is Iafeta Paleaaesina, I just checked the Salford website and he doesn't seem to be part of their squad. I'd take him back as another option at prop!

| Quote: DaveO "If that is true then Wane needs to learn how not to fall out with players i.e. get them to do what he wants without getting senior and respected players backs up. Man management I think it is called.
............ While Fielden isn't a Pongia type player which as Jonh said is what we really need he is closer to it than Wood so if we let Fielden go and sign Wood that has got to be poor business by the club.'"
I agree.

Not sure about this - we only have 1 poster on here saying there was a fall out and even if there was we do not know what it was over could have been something wrong on either side, if at all. Some on here are far too quick to seize on rumours to attack Wane (not aimed at you by the way) - regardless of truth.
I heard that Fielden left purely because he wanted a 2 year deal on good money and Wigan did not want to sign up to such a deal for a forward who had played a handful of games in 2 years - which seems more likely. Time will tell if letting him go was right or not - depends on how many games he can play, if he suffers another long term injury then it may well prove to be the right option.
A Pongia type forward would be ideal but I do not see anyone in SL remotely close to that type and available sadly, and whilst were are looking for gold perhaps a Sam Panapa would be a great addition as well!

2553.gif I've seen them bomb a quarter final, bottle a semi final, finish as league leaders, but I've still, never, seen the Wire win the league

| Ben Cross would be perfect round about now.
Paul Wood offers very little in relation to the qualities we require.

| Ben Cross looked shot for Leeds, did ok for us after coming in with no expectation at all on him and has been ok at Widnes. He's an average player IMO and I wouldn't have him in the team ahead of Mossop, Prescott, Taylor or Dudson regardless of his added experience. I certainly wouldn't have him above Paul Wood who would bring experience to this side but also a real passion to play for his home town team.
I'm not sure I watched the same player at Wigan as some other fans. He was solid but he's certainly been no miss for us and he'd add very little at this time.

20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| Lopini Paea or Con Mika would be good additions, bot of beef in the pack as we don't need any more grafters we need impact.
