I don't disagree with this. But I don't think that we, as fans, should automatically assume that, just because a 'name' Aussie goes to another club, that's because the Wigan chairman has got some kind of misguided 'wishlist' thing going on, and is overruling the coach.

I know you didn't say that, but that was the jist of the original post that I was responding to.

If Kevin Brown is signed then he will not be replacing Sam Tomkins. He would move to stand-off and Sam Tomkins would then move to seven, which according to a few people I respect is his best position & they would both work well together. Tommy would then compete for places at seven and at hooker with McIlorum and Riddell.

I wouldn't be disappointed if we were to sign Kevin Brown. He was an exciting young talent at Wigan and was unfortunate enough to be in the wrong sort of environment. He's now in a more stable, professional environment with a top class coach and he is starting to fulfill his potential. Imagine what he could have been had he been under the tuition and expertise of Mike MaGuire & Shaun Wane. I also wouldn't be that surprised either because he has always spoke openly about his desire to return to Wigan one day (Match of my life).

However Mike MaGuire is playing the rumour down. I can't remember where I read it, but he claimed he has had no contact at all with Kevin Brown.

A lot of people already suspect that that's the case, and don't have any confidence in the RFL finding them out. Melbourne showed how easy it is to cover up for a number of years.

I'm really struggling with the Kevin Brown rumours. He is marginally behind Lee Briers in my least favourite players. I still remember some really half-ar*ed efforts in the near-relegation season.

I am just watching Carl Webb for the NQC and i have to say i hope we stay well clear of this guy. He offers less than feca and i have to say i would rather keep feca. He looks over weight and not fit. No thanks.

Just got off the phone to his agent. If someone can throw in double glazing and a conservatory we are on. Just off to the garden centre for a couple of bags of sand as he said he wants to live close to the beach.

Never mind that, the way piggy is playing this year lets get some other farm yard animals so he feels at home and keep him here.
