Sold 750-1000 apparently, I’ll be there but sad to see how fickle our fans are, I know we are in a rut but these are the type of games you should always want to go to.

| I was considering giving it a swerve but sat there in the week and thought to myself that if I can’t turn up when we’re struggling then I shouldn’t turn up when we’re going well.
I hope it’s one of those games where the people who stay away regret doing so.

First to admit I can't get to every game inc home fixtures but those figures are pretty disappointing for a local derby.

| Well shoot me now, but I'm one of those who will be watching on TV. And I hope Nicky is right, and I'll regret not going. And like, I imagine, a few of us, I'd be happier with at least a fighting (not literally!) performance even if we do go down. But we were comfortably beaten by a pretty poor Giants side last week, and our defence remains a real worry. Might make the trip to Salford, though, especially if the weather is bit better for the bike.

| The thing is, if you keep going regardless, Lenegan wont take the hint that we need better quality signings and quick! Sometimes you have to vote with your feet. The amount of top class talent this club has lost and not replaced over the last few years is ridiculous and the standard of performances has been declining by the year only to be papered over with Wanes ability to get an extra 10% out of some very average players at the end of the year.

I respect your opinion and can see where you’re coming from but personally I’ll always attend as many games as I can, I watch Wigan because I love the club and always will, i don’t go to watch us lift a shiny trophy in August or October that’s just a bonus that has regularly come whilst watching Wigan

Not having a dig at anyone who decides not to go, it’s people’s personal choice and one I seriously considered myself but in the end I decided I’d get down there and hopefully see the start of the turnaround.
The one thing you’ll always get from the Wigan support is passion and even if that’s people voting with their feet then it’s because people care about the overall situation. We really need a pick me up soon though to start getting people back on side.

| I don’t subscribe to the ‘vote with your feet’ mentality at all. If attendances keep dropping it’s hardly going to motivate the chairman to splash out more than he has to is it? I still think he’s a Wigan fan as well as a businessman and he wants the best for the club. I still trust him to run the club well and I have enough faith in him and the current squad to turn this season around. If players see crowds dwindling week on week it’s not going to improve their confidence. We talk about supporting the club through thick and thin and it seems some of our fans will only support a winning team. I find it quite sad at times.

Disagree. Actions always speak louder than words. People can whine and moan all day and as long as they keep turning their cash over to the club IL etc will be happy. Making a statement is way more effective. Plus, why should fans be expected to pay their hard earned cash on dross? They shouldn't. Sport is a form of entertainment, escapism for some, if they want our money, then they should earn it.

| I see this game is being promoted as 'bad blood' so does this mean Warrington are now numero uno rival for Wigan thesedays?

It's warringtons PR, don't think its anything to do with us. I'm guessing its because we keep beating them in finals. I dont quite understand it myself but its selling tickets apparently and thats what its supposed to do.

| I don't think Warrington ever have beaten Wigan in a final, except the Lancs cup when Wigan was in division 2 ..the worst win lose ratio by some margin....yet we have the best away win record against you than any other team in history.

| I suspect Warrington fans will be buying tickets because they expect a big win against a side with very poor form. I wonder if the PR would have been any different had the form been reversed and we were going well and they we struggling?

This isn't true...Wire are buying tickets because of the expectation and investment in our club... Wigan being in poor for is just circumstance. Would you be saying if Wigan was in good form we'd all stay at home for this game?
Have a word with yourself.
